Today we are learning how to be aggressive to the ball in soccer or just aggressive in general.
Description:
Don't get me wrong this video is not about teaching you how to punch players in the face or put in dirty tackles and hurt players. This video is not about that at all.
This Online Soccer Academy training video is about being competitive, being aggressive and wanting to win every time you step on the training or game field.
Key Points:
1. Believe 100% that when you go in for a tackle you will win the ball. Don't doubt yourself, or hope you win it or just stick your leg out there. Believe in your mind you will win it, have no doubt. If you lose the tackle, so what, react positive and hustle back on defense. But going into the tackle you always believe you are going to win it.
2. Be scared of no one on the field! When you step onto the field you are created equal to the players you are playing against. It's up to you to prove who had a better game by the end of it.
3. Reinforce positive thoughts in your mind through out training or in the game. Say things to yourself like "I am a winner", "I will win this tackle", "I am great player, I don't care who I am playing against".
Exercise Player Can Do:
There's no one exercise you can do to practice how to be aggressive to the ball. My advice is when you are training, train hard, push yourself and try to create that competitive attitude and desire to win that all great players seem to have.
When training by yourself maybe listen to some harder rock music or any type of music that gets you extra pumped up. Train like you have something to prove to all your doubters out there. This will help make you more aggressive.
Things to Note!
There's nothing wrong with being a competitor, playing the game to win and playing hard. You don't want to hurt any players, you don't want to play bad soccer in exchange for winning and you certainly don't want to be a poor sport if you lose but it's totally okay to want to win. You should want to have that competitive attitude on the field!
Bonus Tip!
You are the only one that controls your aggressive competitive mindset! I can't, your coach can't, your parents can't. We can all help motivate you, but ultimately it's up to you!
