@preethamnmurthy5935 жыл бұрын
Hello Poul! Firstly, your videos are really put together. Kudos to that. I'm from India and as stated in the video, I'm in the process of looking for a school and I'm very confused. A few flight schools offer the IATPL course at a much higher cost than the CPL course and have partnerships with airlines. I would like to know if the airline partnerships are worth spending the extra 20-25k worth of money and is this course better than the normal CPL in terms of airine and instructor jobs in Canada. (My end goal is to instruct in Canada and then maybe move on to an airline). Thank you!
@PoulGo5 жыл бұрын
If your goal is to instruct then IATPL wont be the way to go. The training is the same regardless. Follows the same standards. If you want to be an airline pilot right after flight school then IATPL might be the way to go. Obviously jobs are not guaranteed but that’s the quickest path to get there

Adding this as a separate comment since it might help others as well: Could you tell us about what it was like at Proifr was like when you were doing your Professional Pilot course? What is the expected course load in terms of ground and flight hours for a full-time student in a typical week? And, if I do study full-time, how long would I approximately take to finishing everything? Thanks!
@PoulGo5 жыл бұрын
Going to flight school in canada is unlike going to college/univ. You control your own pace. Flight training becomes a 1 on 1 relationship with your instructor. Nothing really is expected from you. You are responsible for your own training. When you attend ground school, you have to track your hours as well. No one will tell you what’s next or when to take the exam, unless you ask. Hard to predict how long it takes. It really depends with weather and availability of planes and instructors. If you do full time you might finish in 1-2 years

Hi Poul. I'm looking into flight schools in Canada and came across your videos. I was hoping you can share your experience about applying for and getting the PGWP. If I go the same route as your friend Louis and do the Professional Pilot License program (PPL, CPL, Multi Engine, Multi Engine Instrument) and take 1.5 to 2 years, would I be able to get a PGWP? How about your own experience? Did you apply after getting the CPL or after getting the Instructor Rating and how long were you able to get a PGWP for?

Unfortunately i wasnt an international student. However, i know a lot of friends working in the school. I believe they are able to get a work permit as soon as they land in Canada. Getting the PGWP i believe after getting your CPL.
