Here is advice: complement your self in mirror daily, i once heard that if a man keep telling himself that he is stupid he will start to believe, so use the same thing for confidence. That worked for me at least.

Another VERY important thing you’d take good knowledge of when wanting to become more socially confident is to first be *mentally* confident. And no, that doesn’t mean you need to feel like you’re naturally confident or think of yourself as confident, you just need to be confident IN yourself. Believe that you’re able to achieve your goal of becoming more confident. Cause how the heck do you expect to achieve ANYTHING if you don’t *think* you can? One could go about to achieve this, by subconsciously(or consciously, if that’s your cup of tea) telling yourself different cheerful quotes throughout the day, every morning, or before/after encountering something you dread. Like ‘alright, I’ll go up there and perform my notes, and it’ll go *smoothly’,* and ‘Wow! I can’t believe I actually did that. Maybe I’m not a lost cause after all’(obviously a joke btw). Small quotes like that will *one hundo percent* boost your self-confidence and, believe it or not, definitely make an impact on however well you perform socially. Good luck! :D

I remind myself that so long as whatever the "scary thing" is doesn't kill me, I don't have to quit and admit defeat... Everything short of that is merely a "happy little setback"... ...AND when I accomplish something (whether or not I originally thought I could) I remind myself, "Well, that was easier, simpler, and more painless than I figured it was going to be." It really DOES help in just those words and syllables. ;o)

I want to enjoy stuff and try things like DnD, but I lack the confidence to talk because I always mumble and sound depressed and I hate hearing my own voice. It's so frustrating that sometimes I feel like I want to cry because it's the part of me I want to change the most. I want to be able to talk without mumbling or sounding unhappy. I want to be able to have fun with my friends and sound like I really am enjoying myself.
