I'm THE coolest guy. I don't have a smart phone. When I sit down with someone, I never look at a device. I am not distracted by such a device while driving. I am not distracted while riding my motorcycle. I don't have GPS tracker on my bike. I disconnected GPS and SAT antennas on my car as well as the black box I just found.
@terrydaktyllus1320
@terrydaktyllus1320 Күн бұрын
You have made the same mistake many people do. GPS does not track you, it's a passive signal from a satellite that allows a receiving device to learn it's own location. In order to be tracked, that device would need to send that GPS location to a third party and that is done by a separate piece of hardware and/or software. It's not a function of GPS itself - "Global Positioning System", not "Global Tracking System". For example, a de-Googled phone can still learn its location from GPS but the lack of Google Play Services on the phone means that GPS co-ordinates (and wi-fi triangulation co-ordinates) cannot be sent to Google to allow them to track the phone.

@@ParagOak Yes, but I am on here anonymously. This account uses no other Google services than KZbin and is registered on a de-Googled burner phone that nobody else has in their contacts database. That phone cannot be tracked by Google. If you have watched Rob's past videos, you'll understand that Google has to be able to link leaked data to a real individual for it to be of any value. It is not easy for Google to link Terry Daktyllus to a unique individual, therefore any data I leak is useless to them.

@ Ok, don’t get me wrong or I’m criticising you or someone, but once you start internet or on internet platforms then either ways you’re are traceable. Even VPN is also myth like privacy. Only thing you can control is how you behave on platforms or how you use it in controlled environments. And BTW my comment is not for you it is for who has started this thread.
@terrydaktyllus1320
@terrydaktyllus1320 Күн бұрын
@@ParagOak I didn't consider what you said to be criticism, I merely explained to you how it is possible to be "anonymous" on here, at least to the point at which any personal information one leaks is useless to Google. VPN is fine in situations of government tracking but as I consider myself a law abiding citizen in a country where the govenment has records on me anyway so I can get free healthcare, education, etc. then I don't consider hiding from my government to be a high priority in my own threat analyses. Yes, I agree on your point of controlling platform usage - social media should be avoided in particular.

I don’t take selfies of myself everywhere every time of the day so I really don’t need a brick sized phone in my pocket the whole time. I have big SLRs with big glass and I have done my own tests to compare that with latest iPhone camera. My observation is this: the iPhone camera is very good for what it is. Where it particularly falls short is when there is less light and or when the subject is moving fast. The SLRs focusing is lightning fast and predictive. Also tried blowing up the pictures on the big screen TV, the SLRs images are just butter smooth.

I bought one to test it out…. The watch face is cool… I sometimes like to track my own runs, but I don’t like my data not being private. I like the countdown timer built into it. I like being able to access music with it and the ear buds when I run. When I’m at the grocery store and if I I forget my phone I can use my watch. Other then that, I have had very little to no use for it. So, I only wear it if I go to a grocery story, go for a run, or am just sitting around the house. Most of the time, I don’t wear it at all. I love my Casio World Timer when I travel time zones.

@ …and everywhere else? No. I’m too lazy to charge it. It needs to be charged daily. I won’t take it out of town for three days. I have other watches and I usually have my phone, so the watch is kind of irrelevant. Even around town, locally…I usually wear a different watch. One thing I’ve hated is how it falls off the magnetic charger, while traveling. I suppose I could use a rubber band. It just adds extra complexity to my life. This kind of defeats the purpose of simplifying my life. Yeah. Better to just not have it maybe. I already paid for it, so I’ll still use it for running. That’s about it. I don’t regret buying it, but I don’t see myself buying another one.

USAA did it to me and I did nothing wrong, yet their employees completely villified me for imaginary crimes. It was my disability check, they froze it for 5 weeks. Im disturbed realizing how all big businesses/ employers are using huge cloud HR services, and EVERYTHING PERSONAL about the employee is in there. Plus you Have to have a mobile app to access it, AND there is no way for employees to have a say or even comment with that cloud HR tech company. Also the same for employee health benefits. You MUST enroll via that cloud company. No more medical cards, somehow you receive a QR code or something. So by big employers in alignment with all this, plus other services creating the necessity for their app.., I don’t see a way out. Young people will just accept it as their normal. It is such a disgusting violation!

I just thought to myself that that was exactly what going out in the water and catching waves was NOT supposed to be about. They were dying to tell me all about it because they loved my custom wetsuit, but I listened to be polite, but just thought they were KOOKS and should just go to soul cycle or something like that.
