to anyone who wants to know how i mix drums (and get them this loud and heavy and generally "sounding like that"), if you actually pay attention to the degrading reverb, it sounds like resampling. the problem with saying such a thing is none of this is actually being resampled. hope this helps

long story short: if you use gated reverb against iself and dont allow it to create huge amounts of reverb aka splash damage, youve got the loudest snare drum on earth and it sounds pretty cool. try it. doesnt sound like those tryhards making "80s imitations" either, sounds like boom bap
