I think that it's a shame that your videos doesn't get more views, because your content is gold! I learned so much from this, thank you very much Ryan!

Love your content .. and really like your point about ‘keep trying’ and ‘add to a joke’ (rather than bring others down). Subbed🎉

One of my biggest annoyances with funny training is the whole concept of "don't filter". If you're like me, your thoughts would sound incoherent most of the time, and more pointless than funny. Alot of times my thoughts relate to past experiences that the other person wouldn't relate to, so I appreciate someone like you that could dig deeper than just "don't limit what you say". Because while I understand the point of it, it's not most people's sticking point. Not having content is.

Hi thanks for the feedback! I totally see what you’re saying. You certainly don’t want to not filter AT ALL. However the vast vast majority of people filter way too much. A good rule to follow I can’t remember if I said in this video is “if not sure, take the risky option”. If you’re sure something is a good/bad idea then this rule doesn’t apply. If unsure use this rule there are a bunch of benefits to it but the main benefit is that you will improve way way faster than by leaning towards the safe options. (Only exception to the rule is in situations where the cost for a risk gone wrong is massively increased probably due to extreme formality or actual danger like being in court, a strict religious event or travelling through a war zone….. for most people this will only apply something like 1/100000 times)

@@SocialShortcuts thanks so much for the feedback! I'll definitely try to apply what you're saying in practice. If you don't mind I'd like to pitch you something. I was doing a brain exercise on funny responses to gifts my wife got from her Grandmother. What would you do with these if these are the associations that came to mind? 1) pillow = (I first think of cuddling) 2) houseplant = (I first think of a dinosaur living amongst giant prehistoric plants) 3) shoes = (I think of laces being like tiny snakes or worms) I couldn't manage to do anything funny or coherent with these silly associations. Would you have tried to make them work, or just moved on to a different thought (keeping in mind speed is better)?

@@westernartifact4163 1) pillow - ask your wife what she thinks of it then when she replies go “stop with the pillow talk not in front of your grandmother” 2) houseplant - “a houseplant! Wow! I can’t beLEAF 🍃 it!” 3) Shoes “have a check and make sure these aren’t LACED with anything” (look very suspicious about them)…… with more details about them I could generate more options. So bear that in mind with your thinking to assess more details of stuff for humour but also conversation & other areas too

Hey, I just discovered your channel. And, man, I want to let you know: I appreciate the content. Usually, when I’ve looked up “how to be funny”, often I’m riddled with annoying, cocky sunglasses-caricatures trying to pill me into some weird, hypermasculine rabbit hole that pertains to alpha male dating culture. Or something that is just completely bland, and offers nothing more than “here’s an obvious tip: use body language!” But you have a more straightforward approach-here’s some exercises, now go practice. I love that. And it’s also not so demeaning to watch your content that way, because lots of others will just give “humor hacks” and assume you don’t care about the actual skill itself, but picking up women. I dunno, that’s just been my experience. Also, you’re entertaining, but, I think probably why you aren’t racking up the view count has little to do with the quality of what you have to offer, but more of the presentation involved, and perhaps the energy, maybe? If you look at Charisma on Command, he is much more professionally presentative, and yet, I don’t necessarily feel as though you don’t have something that is as valuable to offer than what would be found on larger channels that deal with humor. Sorry about the long-winded comment. Happy to sub to your channel.

Hey thanks! Working on the skill is definitely the best option, humour is the most complicated and hard to explain area of social skills I think, but I'm getting there. And thanks for the feedback! I actually do get a lot of traffic but on TikTok I have over 185000 followers. KZbin has been more of a side project for me but thinking to focus on it a bit more starting soon.

If person A is generally disliked then no matter how funny Person A becomes he is simply not going to get laughs from people around Him

@@ok_computer12 this is not true it will make things more difficult but not unable to make people laugh. Nothing in social skills is ever a 100% or a 0% apart from how emotions work fundamentally and aiming to be a good person
