One of the biggest challenges of being an introvert is people taking my quietness, and preferring to be alone (eating by myself) as a sign of being antisocial. I just enjoy my own company, and I’m very selective about who I invite into my personal space.

As an INFJ just starting a relationship with an INFP, things can be.......interesting. She's an anxious and I'm an avoidant, but the crazy part is that we clicked from the first conversation. Once we discovered we shared a deep love of music, that opened the door or more like the floodgates, lol. We can spend hours just trading songs back and forth, discussing the lyrics, tempo, instruments and emotions they conjure up. That ONE connection broke the barriers for both of us, and I know more about her than I ever learned about my ex-wife. Finding a fellow introvert is freeing, we both don't waste time on meaningless jabber, we get into the meat of a conversation and just keep going down whatever rabbit hole pops up. We both have our scars, and suits of armor that Tony Stark would be jealous of, but every time we take off a piece it reveals an entirely new facet of our personalities. I'm better at social settings than her, I can fake being extroverted and deal with people a bit easier, she's much more reserved and shy but has a staggering intellect and savage wit, Introvert + introvert can be challenging at times, but it's the deepest relationship you can find. The popularity I've gained has been a bit of faking, but mostly just simply not giving a damn. As my childhood hero Popeye was fond of saying "I yam what I yam, and that's all what I yam!" Embrace who you are, be authentic, and you'll go far. So many people are shallow and fake, but someone who truly embraces their true self, stands out. People never get tired of talking about themselves, so use your introvert skills of observation and listening, let others talk about themselves and pop in an insightful question once in a while, pretty soon you'll be "That guy/girl who always listens to me, and knows so MUCH!" You'll talk less, drain less of YOUR energy, while boosting their energy by making them feel important and special just for being around you.

I always say takes an introverted personality to spot one in your surroundings or wherever you work. The thing is though to also recognize while it’s a personality type in temperament and of certain characteristics traits, they all possess on a scale varying degree of introverted ness. Thus they don’t all act the same. Each have a different blend or mix of the other main personality types as minor personality to their dominated personality complex. A thing is to recognize your strengths and what or where your good at things and Len into them to help you excel. Shore up the areas or try to improve in the areas you also know aren’t your normal strong personality areas. I always like to dress up as I learned it from my brother growing up who was more an extroverted person. I often try to let how I dress and present myself in appearance speak for me wherever I’m at. As well on the fun side when I traveling for work and often do why I can sit and just enjoy Airport watching as people pass by, as my mind is hard at work in observation. Given your personality as an introvert, you do often come across as mysterious to many people around you. People often have no real idea what you think as your opinion can be hard to be revealed for many good reasons.

True introverts don't desire to be popular. They want to be left alone, or around a few people that they enjoy.

Even when they don't desire to be, but oftentimes they do end up becoming popular because of some of traits he mentioned in the video. Especially for their intellect, communication skills (active listening, verbal and writing competencies, etc) sense of style...

@@makavelli7211 yup. I myself am an introvert at work but people started talking to me just because they wabted to find out more about myself. I always tend to dress nice, keep to myself, and dont speak unless im spoken too. I guess that made people wonder about me and it was inevitable for me to not speak to others even though i didnt want to.

Crazy, up until this video. I had no idea I was an introvert. I always would say, it didn’t matter what situation I’m in . I would get the best out of everything and everyone around me. I will come out on top. I was always behind the scenes and never wanted any credit. Going to events, I would show up and just disappear without saying anything to anyone when I left. They called me the Dark Knight because I was there one moment and gone without a trace the next🤣

Introverts often appear boring because they can’t hold up a fairly long conversation. I think this is antisocial and there is need to come out of the shell a little bit and talk to people. This is my easy solution: 1. Stay in touch with the latest developments. 2. be actually present in a conversation 3. be the first to say hello, good morning, how are you …. 4. give a firm handshake 5. look people in the eye, don’t stare 6. Most importantly, give compliments, ask questions, let the other person do most of the talking. Makes them feel important and most people feel good about that. Secondly this keeps the conversation more engaging and longer

This video will be very helpful for introverted teens as they often get lead to believe they are social outcast and unliked. And such negative narratives really get pushed be the likes of school bullies and a-hole type alphas who want to keep other people down so that they can view themselves as being on top. A little good advice can go a long way to turning a young guys view of himself around.
