I don't understand how you schedule your time without a to do list. I try to set my goals for the day (to do list) or even week and then schedule my time accordingly. I don't see how you schedule your time down to the minute or prioritize without first writing out the things you need to do. Can you explain this more please?

+newt goulet Well if you schedule the time accordingly then you are good to go. Most people ( including me in the past ) just write the things down that we should finish for the day. So they just sit there on the to-do list without any info about how much time we need and at what time of the day we should do them. We are more likely to finish a task when we know exactly how much time we should spend (check Parkinson's law), and if we don't specify time we are most likely to leave them later in the day and we end up not finishing them, in turn we get caught up on the Zeigarnik Effect. So scheduling everything on your daily calendar and living according to it is the way to go. Please comment freely if you have any more questions!

I think it's because a to-do list implies you've got a margin to play with, or that you do not force yourself enough subconsciously, a firm schedule rather implies that either you do it or you fail, right now, at the scheduled time, and only focus on that. I think it doesn't matter wether you use a time-listed to-do list or a calendar, it's about the message you send to yourself, which is to get shit done each thing at a time and when you have to, not earlier or later.

What is the difference between scheduling everything on your daily calander vs. A to-do-list?
@gridcoregilry666
@gridcoregilry666 7 жыл бұрын
the to-do-list usually doesnt have a specific time (e.g. only a day, but it can still be posponed for any reason), so a precise time like on a calender would be better (e.g. Monday at 3 pm)

Thanks for the Video! Excuse me for the intrusion, I am interested in your opinion. Have you considered - Yanailey Sanvery Approach (do a google search)? It is a great exclusive product for becoming more productive minus the headache. Ive heard some super things about it and my good mate called Gray at last got great success with it.

+Epi King Hey Epi King, it means simply to not be available every time someone asks you or messages you. It means to value your time and ONLY be available for something that you truly think will benefit you in the future, or will bring you joy. Many people just say yes to everything either because they are bored, they don't value their time, or simply because they developed the habit of doing saying yes - so in the end they don't have time to actually be productive.

I don't agree with the 8th thing because if you e.g. read a mail and then reply it later, it means that your brain did some background work and then you'll do the reply better

when u did some "background work" you will lost a lot of information about the email so you need to read the email again.
