the key point that i got out of this video was that "preparing to do "the thing" is not doing "the thing" thinking about doing "the thing" is not doing the thing, only doing the thing is doing it, so just start doing and stop thinking, evaluating, doubting, fearing etc.

I am turning 18 this year. I always wanted someone to show me the “way” never wanted to find it myself I never wanted to make decisions which I might regret later .so I always asked others to take decisions for me, I took their advice as their orders and mentally blamed them if anything goes wrong the fear of being wrong or failure always stayed I still don't know what I want to do in life but one thing I would change from today is I will take my own decisions and responsibility which comes with it. Because nobody always make the right choice, I might end up becoming a failure in life, but one thing is for sure, I will not sleepwalk through life. I will need this video again, so please like to remind me

Your story really moved me . I guessed because it's very similar to my life too. I am 18 and I failed my Engineering entrance exam . Instead of taking the responsibility I coped by pushing the guilt away by blaming others and random things . To be honest I never was dedicated and determined to clear the exam by studying and putting in the actual hardwork ......but instead I used to search tricks and strategies , like relying on external factors to help me pass the exam Now I am preparing for the same exam again by taking a year out and attempt it next year ..... but this time I guess I understood what a failure is like by analysing my previous mistakes and try to stay true to my goal now . Thank you for sharing your story 😊 Good luck

I’m chronically ill and disabled. It is incurable, and life long. I have intense pain almost every waking moment, and I convinced myself for years that I was incapable of most of the things I ever wanted to do in life. I finally got sick of it, and with the possibility that tomorrow I may be “taken out” by anaphylaxis, an aneurysm or rupture, a spine injury resulting in paralysis… I have been proving myself wrong consistently. In just the past year I’ve done more than I thought I would be able to do for the rest of my life, and it was still in pain. I was still physically miserable for a good portion of it, but the more I decided I could control the things in my power, the better I felt and the better my health has gotten. I’ll be listening to this and trying to apply in this sense, because things are wildly different when we are differently abled. Especially in my case…

Man this is such a good video. I’m that guy who tried around 8-9 different career/online businesses that I heard the gurus talk about… Sure there are people who make money Dropshipping, or doing high ticket sales, or copywriting, etc… But I genuinely believe that, for most, that’s not the way to go. Find something that interests you, that you have a knack for, ideally, and do that. If that does mean starting your own business, then go for it! But if that also looks like working your way through a degree, and working in a company, then don’t feel bad about that because we all have a different path to walk. Another thing to remember and tell yourself is: “I’m better than SOME people at SOME things, but I’m not better than ALL people at ALL things. At the same time, I AM better than anyone else at being me.” Find your thing.

I'm 28. I have watched quite a number of self-improvement videos, but this one actually strikes a chord. I have always felt this deep drive in me, that I could do something great in the world, but my fears and anxieties always beat me down and those dreams truly felt just like dreams of a fool. But now I see that the problem was in that I never had any plan whatsoever, it was just a deep longing feeling and in a day it faded away, without me ever having anything particular to grasp onto. This video though gives concrete 4 questions, by answering which, I really feel I'll get some kind of path to follow and a goal to achieve. My big dream was always to sing in front of the crowd, to make their day better. Sing with emotion and happiness (I love singing alone at my house, music is magic), so that hopefully the people will feel it too. I know that without any fear I would enjoy it immensely. But at the same time I am an introvert with social anxiety and singing in front of the people is terrifying :D With writing this comment I promise myself that in a years time I will go on the street and sing. No matter how good or bad it will go, still I will be unbelievably proud of myself for just even going to the street and opening my mouth. Because then it means that I can do it again. And again. Every time getting a bit better. And one day, hopefully, fear will understand that it cant stop me and will let me go. See you in a year, you beautiful people! 😇

Sage advice from a young man. When I was 25, I was uncertain in life and working in construction, saving money paying off my student loans. But I grew restless. Finally, I went to the top of the mountain overlooking the valley, and I asked myself the question if you could do anything you wanted in life and you were guaranteed to succeed , then what would you do? It was hard to ask that question because my mind was full of doubts, and all the things that others told me that I should do, but I finally managed to push all that aside and see my future. I knew then that I wanted to go back to college and study computer science , it was a life changing decision Sometimes we have to set ourselves free from the shackles of fear and doubt, and even comfort can be a shackle,. But once free, you can see clearly.

If you are still on this Earth, you are not only winning, but nothing is over either. Clark's advice is great, but do not for one second think you're not deserving of it because of age. I used to have so much feeling of regret for not doing better in high school. I always felt that it pointed the trajectory of my life. It wasn't until I was about 40 years old where I said that I'm going to mentally think that I graduated high school today. What would I have done different? So, I started aggressively learning about investing and investing my money in. So, I don't become a millionaire at 30 but become one at 50 or 55...or even 75. What am I going to say..."no thanks, I'm too old. Take it back!"? Of course I'm going to enjoy it and take wonderful enjoyment that I at least did it once in my life. Age is just a number. Don't underestimate your ability to ignore that number!

It took me all of 37 years of my life and more than half of those years being a mom of eventual 6 kids, to get that “ah-ha!” moment of realization that there is a HUGE difference between just being busy and actually being productive! After that, it was a huge shift for me. But you’re never ‘there’ especially when you’re only always ever chasing ‘getting there’ as a means of always trying to get ‘there’ where ever ‘there’ actually is.

@jesseboeker76367 ай бұрын
@@davidkovacic3422I think there may be a little more to her comment than what I'm about to say. But I can elaborate on the first half. Many people make the mistake of busy work and it gets them nowhere. For example- Two people have an office for their business. One stays in the office everyday and says "I need to clean my desk. If any clients come in I also need to vacuum. I don't want them to see an non vacuumed floor. I also need to repaint my office" and he spends all his days like that. The other says "I need clients. I'm going to advertise, call, and go out and offer my services. I'll spend 95% of my time getting clients until I have enough work and only 5% cleaning the office." The second one was actually doing activities that would get him where he wants to be. The first one is doing things that are essentially doing nothing for him. He's putting icing on a cake that isn't ready. The first will always wonder why the second is doing so much better because they both work the same amount. But one is busy and the other is productive!

Thanks, Clark. I’ve done so much to improve the way I think, my discipline, and my habits, but this video helped me understerstand something very important. Having to think about something I would stop doing this year to make my life better has helped me realize that I’m very dishonest still about the way I feel. It took me forever to start getting up earlier because I always stayed up watching whatever on the discord share, and I grew tired of the mindless entertainment. I worked up the courage one day to just switch my bedtime, but I never really truly explained why. I also say I handle fun at hang outs even if I didn’t. I also give a half truth when I explain why I don’t want to do something. I can’t blame people for seeing me a certain way and expecting me to be certain ways when I am never honest with them. I’m not living the life I want to because I lie and say that I’m ok with the life that I’m not ok with.

Most valuable KZbin video I have ever watched And I watched A LOT of KZbin videos, specifically about productivity, motivation, discipline, getting ahead, etc. But this is the only video that I will ever need. It still is useful listening to other's experiences, tho. During the past couple years, I've messed up, wasted time and kept on making the same big mistakes over and over that I got stuck in a loop. If I don't stop now, I won't be anywhere in life in the future. I'm turning 17 at the end of this month, it's time to flip the page to a new chapter, move on, be better, but most importantly just live and be true to myself. Thank you for this video.

60 is not old for many or perhaps --of those healthy--most. It is the next stage. It is another career time for those who can make it happen. Many are productive for only 20 years of their life, even less in some instances, making it big and burning out in a decade, or dying young after a major accomplishment -- and thus at 60 a person could still accomplish everything they desire, if they eat right and exercise. I will likely never stop working, because it is what makes a person feel vital, and by definition, adds to vitality. And that adds to quality of life. 90 seems old to me. But perhaps when I'm 90 I will say that 100 is old.

"To others, simply life is to short to be wasted working on unproductive things, such example is a job that pays awfully" The effortless hes talking about in 13:33 is more about flow, where its those moments when your just locked in in an activity, like no stress or anything, just pure concentration, and you can do this just by simply making yourself bored or detoxing, either by staying and kind of like meditating in bed to face your thoughts for 10 mins or to just take a walk and think about your thoughts and access them, cause clarity is key, like whats the point of having a supercar when you can see anything in the wind shield. Another key here is to face your bad thoughts like why do I think like this or why did that thought came up so you can be able to rule over them rather than you being rules by your thoughts or emotions which is the ones blocking your windshield, slowing you down. If you really want to be able to live your life fully, do what everyone else aint doing, cause doing the same thing that everyone does will only give you the same results that others get, and just think of what you could be doing that would be better than what others are doing, I mean just with that one thought could change your whole life. Last thing I want to put here is to live your life, I mean you know what brings good and bad to you right? so do what you know is good for you, and sure plan and prepare for the future but lean to much on that side and you end up not living the future that has come to the present, and one of my favorite quotes that give the idea of just living life is from kung fu panda that I saw from a vid "The past is history, and future is a mystery, and the present is a gift...thats why it is called the present" And dont live your life living someone elses or what others want to see of you, cause that only ends up being bad for you as you dismiss your own thoughts and feelings for the sake of others, so stop caring so much about others and start caring for yourself. Favorite part of mine in the vid is 5:28.

These questions have just triggered my brain so much (…shame it’s 12.32am and I’ve got to get up in 5 hours!..) but super happy I came across this! Why is it we can offer the best advice to someone else, whether it be a family member, friend or total stranger. Advice coupled with empathy, respect with totally genuine ideas or suggestions to help them move forward, yet find ourselves in a frozen state, mentally & physically, unable to make sense of anything or be able to nudge sideways let alone forwards! Part of my job is to be the supportive role, which I do without a second thought, but as for advising myself? I need to sack myself, answer your 4 questions, then re-apply for my role of me again and have another go! Like you said this hits home with an added slap round the back of the head…absolutely & totally what I needed to see right now! Thank you so very much! 🙏

I have been doing a lot of Journaling and Planning my day and doing it like a robot, most of days the work bleeds into the next and the next and the next. I always felt like something I needed to fix. I believed everything that comes to my mind, needs to be done and later realized that I need to say NO to things in order to say YES to better things, when seen from a higher sense or prospective. Then when I saw this video, many important points were addressed way before getting into the Beast mode, you decide. And the other thing which I was able to connect with you here is - Shooting down your solutions with fear inducing taught. Yes you are absolutely correct, coming up with the solution might have taken a very long time after wishing for something and the solutions usually pop up when there is a opportunity for it to happen, and then also including yourself to be in a confident and relaxed state. But suddenly you take the walk to the other side of your solution physically and mentally - shunting down your emotions and all of a sudden you see far away from the thing that you wanted to do and then you tell yourself that you are going to do it the next time or talk yourself into doing something else and keeping yourself busy and never ever taking the move that you wanted internally. Really nice Video, enjoyed it.

Transitioning from Learning to Customer Engagement Over the past year and a half in the oil analysis and lubricants industry, I have been deeply immersed in acquiring knowledge and understanding of the field. The extent of learning I have undertaken recently surpasses even my university experience. However, I recently experienced a period of disinterest and difficulty in maintaining my study routine, which concerned me. Upon reflection, I realized that it was time for me to shift from this phase of continuous learning to actively engaging with customers. While this transition initially felt daunting and intimidating, I understand that preparation has its limits and that at some point, one must step out and apply their knowledge in real-world interactions. Thank you so Clark for sharing the video that helped me recognize this important shift in my approach.

I do not think 'old age' is a specific number. Just meet a lot of people, say from the age of 50 to 100, and you'll see what I mean. Availability of health services and nutrition, genetics, whether you had exposure to toxic things, if you had to live with toxic/abusive people, etc. We all become old at different ages. But, regardless, you can still try to have healthy behaviors whether you are young or old.
