@@hummie727 if u learn one look oll and pll, you’ll see a change. If you average like 6 seconds for 2l pll and oll, 2ll can decrease it by like 2-3 secs.

One more tip is during f2l solve pairs in back slots, that improves the look ahead.

I'm avg around 11s, and i got some tips here +) you don't actually need to know full oll to sub 11, just need efficiency in cross and f2l +) turn a bit slower if your look ahead is not good, always put efficiency on top +) reduce less regrip as possible +) try to find keyhole and pseudo slotting +) set up the cube as the right way for you

Ik full pll but not full oll. So also insert into back slots and that way you can observe a front slot which improves look ahead. This helped so much especially since I’m sub 40

Beginner method being : cross, corners, "penguins" (idk the name but like the second piece of F2L), opposite cross, opposite corners (orientation) and then 2 specific 3 pieces swap (corners and centers) for the last layer.

While I agree that full PLL is needed for sub-12, Full OLL is debatable. While you need to learn it to get any further than Sub-12, knowing all the fast OLL algs and having good two look is enough if your look ahead and F2l/cross is really efficient. I am a really inconsistent Sub-15 solver, but on days when I am doing really good F2l, cross and look ahead I am consistently Sub-12 even with over half of my OLL cases being two look.

To add on, I am not saying you shouldn't learn full OLL, but that there are factors that are much more important and take less time to fix if a good knowledge of OLL is present. One example is cube customisation. It was literally a second and a half improvement once I took the time to do it.

Do you know how long your cross takes? Also how much of last layer do you know? (2-look oll, full pll, etc.) That way I can give you better tips.

@@streetgamar7618 Ok so your F2L is pretty good for your speed. Your cross sounds like it could use a bit of work but I think that learning full PLL will benefit you more at this point. So, what I did to learn full PLL was have a rough diagram of what the PLL looks like (you can see these on Jperm.net) and I had the alg next to it. Then I would learn either the cases with the lowest move count or the easiest ones to recognize. If you just learn 1 per day, you'll have full PLL down in less than a month. Be careful which algs you learn. Don't learn super long algs that are easy to learn because you'll have to change them for more efficient algs later. Sorry for the novel but I hope this helps :)

My first video was absolute garbage. So garbage that I had to cut out almost half of it. Please don't watch it. But no one starts out amazing so keep going and you'll see your improvement.
