Love your KZbin content! You mentioned that a big part of being a freelancer is networking. Could you talk a bit about what kind of networking events you attend and how do you find them? I'm also based in Toronto

Love the advice! Was wondering if you could share the light setup for your thumbnail image? The one with the two women. I like how the light looks soft but still glossy.

It was an 5ft octa slightly on the right and was shooting also through a 6x6 scrim. Basically the same set up as in my ‘sunlight’ video just without the sun strobe

Will you recommend saving up for the best lighting equipment... eg. Broncolor over upgrading camera/lenses.
@KarolinaPran Жыл бұрын
Hey! I don't think there is a good answer to this broad question. I believe that lighting is more important than a camera or lenses. If you light your subject well (either with natural light or artificial light) your photo will be better than if you had a great lens and camera, but messed up lighting. But that being said I would not save up for expensive strobes if it will take you a long time to do so and will prevent you from practicing lighting. So in a sense yes I would say in general lighting would be my personal priority over saving up for cameras or lenses, but if it's your first lighting kit, don't get the most expensive one, get let's say Godox and start practicing as much as possible. After lighting, I would buy lenses and a camera body last :) Of course, exceptions apply, but for the beauty/fashion/small commercial stuff this is what I would do, hope it makes sense!

Thank you so much❤ your photos are awesome❤ how do you get such a rich color from 5dsr?😻 If is not a secret, what raw-converter do you use? Or may be you have some secrets for camera profile (from the box it gives poor colors both in capture one and lightroom😢) Thank you🙏

Great video ❤ Can you talk about how to find your own style? And how to pick the right inspiration?
@KarolinaPran Жыл бұрын
Thank you! I am still searching for mine, there is no straight road to that nor anyone else can tell you how to reach your style. It's just a lot of hard work and trial and error until you feel like you are developing something unique and showing your own perspective rather than being a generic photo taker. Take inspo from magazines, other artists, and photographers, test a ton and if you'll be always aware of wanting to show your own perspective, you'll get there eventually. A ton of photographers don't search for that and never find it, but if you put in work and thought into it, I believe most people can get there.
