Regarding your Dead Card-Theory: That's why Wizards invented the Cycling menachic in the first place. They were first printed in the Urzas Block and were on situationaly good cards like artifact and enchantment removal or conditional counterspells with taxes.

My strongest edh is Nicol Bolas the ravager so this makes me happy. Main plan is to stick a Bolas's Citadel and throw down a board wipe and dragon God and a deep glow for the instant win. Very flavorful and makes a typically good stuff color pie have a fun but powerful theme

I have this grixis histroic list called birdswalkers it has that creature presence your talking about it involves sacrifice effects and destroy keywording to summon bone pickers out for 1 black because despite just 2 toughness a flying deathtouch body is at worst a decent blocker to protect bolas.

the metrics that your channel has makes it difficult to conceive that your goal of 3k likes isnt obtainable. your breakdown on the way old magic worked checks out, i have punished many a player for that. power creep kinda works against that method in a few ways but statistically there were only a few components that could be cast against you. pick an axis then also play in a way that leverages the only way they can beat you by punishing them for attempting it. go wide= kill them before the sweeper could be cast, spot removal heavy decks get em with boggles, combo winter resolve hill giant then wheel them into oblivion and take all the turns. aeo paquettes affinity deck was incredibly fun to pilot but the deck that beat it was astral slide blinking reclamation sage. quite a brilliancy that hasnt quite had the same impact since
