That's seriously one of the most genius moves I've seen in a while.

Very nice, thanks for sharing! I also love how you refer to the nogi situation. I find it really helpful, when teachers mention the respective "other side" of BJJ, whether they show it with the gi or without.

Dear All, Dear Professor Gustavo, I think I might not get an answer from Tristar Gym, but the jitsu-nerd in me can't sleep well if he doesn't know the answer: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZoakqKObj72LY5Y& The ending position in this where Mike gets the heel hook. That is not a inside sankaku right? That is more of a topside ashi garami. Sankaku means triangle and his legs are not in a triangle position. I guess it can be said it is like halfway through but not a fully locked in inside sankaku for sure. Am I wrong?

MrSarky1992 you are correct. It’s in between the two positions, because for the topside Ashi Garami you wanna have your foot by the hip, and Mike crossed his left foot a little further than that, but not threading it completely through his opponent’s legs into the Inside Sankaku position.

Warning: This only works if your opponent has arms.
