Great content as usual Sandy. I've got a question, but it's not relevant to this video. It's about your video about kicksmashes and smashes in general. Where does the power come from - is it mainly in the wrist and hips, and having a pretty loose arm? I have a tendensy to feel a bit stiff when smashing and sometimes it hurts in my shoulder after, which makes it impossible for me to get enough power to get it out of the court. What's your tips here?
@ThePadelSchool2 жыл бұрын
The power for the kicksmash is usually less important than getting the right contact and spin (and accuracy on the bounce). You want to try to keep a loose arm, but it is very difficult for me to say without seeing your technique...send me a small clip on instagram and I'll take a look.

Great video! Excellent pros examples to help us understand the points you are making better. Coming from a racket background, picking padel was easy as first. When I started playing with more advance padel players, I understood my mistakes and the weakness in my padel game. Definitively playing against stronger players helped me a lot.

Fastest way to improve is against the stronger players...

Maybe it was filmed during WPT Malmö, and just released now.

In best of 3 set match, beating a pair that is one notch above in level is really hard. In my experience the only thing that works is to take more chances and play with slimmer margins and hope that you have a good day and a bit of luck. Could of course backfire and you lose even quicker than you would have otherwise...
@ThePadelSchool2 жыл бұрын
One notch above in terms of padel experience is tough! But if they are tennis players with less padel you could cover that gap if you play sensibly...

hi sandy played a few games this week we are all average players but the longest rally for 90 mins must of been 4 shots . it was a boring game any suggestions should I play better players we played outside and it was quite cold we did 20.30 till 22.00
@MMM180922 жыл бұрын
Not sure you need to play better players, you need to play different players.

If the group feel the same then you could always add a condition like you need to have a rally of at least 5 before the point is open - or everyone has to touch the ball before it is live...?!
