Luck does actually serve a purpose in Pointless: inflicting status effects with Alex. Like causing Fallen or Bleed with moves like FAK and GK respectively. I wouldn’t have sold the Iron Box for that reason.

You are right that LUK does determine the chance statuses get inflicted. However, I'd still stand by that LUK is, for all intents and purposes; useless, because the influence it has on status infliction chance is so minimal and unnoticeable. A difference in 2 points of LUK is basically negligible, and the minuscule difference that IS there really isn't gonna be something that's even remotely tangible to see in any sort of run. Thus, I would still say that the 2 Magazines you get for selling the Iron Box are way, way more valuable then the 2 points of LUK you'd get for equipping it ever would be. For reference, 2 Mags can get you: -2 Tomato Sauce Packets (140 HP, often this will let you tank an extra attack in the typical playthrough) -The Iron Ring (+3 ATK, obviously more damage is good, might help be the difference between an enemy dying and staying alive. The extra damage would also add up over time in a longer fight, such as Chaz or Arnold.) -A Nugget (Nuggets seem like they might be better than I let on, actually, after looking into them. They set the TGR to 0%, meaning you can directly influence who gets targeted with certainty for 1-3 turns, and it also gives 30% EVA as well, meaning they're good in a pinch if you're down to one party member for a moment, or they could work as another "Hail Marry" option against a Dangerous/Geared Up attack. Not to mention the chance that 2 Mags might be what you need to go towards something like a Potato Liqueur or a Moe's Special Blend or something.

In the middle of doing a Rupture run to see if it's possible. ...I crawled my way out of the desert with no jerky, no perfumes and I ended up cycling through ALL of my clean water just so that I can make it to the campfire and not die. I mean, I guess I did have Crow Feed left... But I feel like I'm actually going to NEED that later in order to beat Anaconda and the clown car. So I've been holding onto them. Either way... Good luck when you finally have to do it, you'll need it.

That would be practically impossible; for reference there's 4 traumas in vanilla Pointless - Heart Attack, Brain Damage, Broken Bones, and Rupture. As someone playing through Pointless with a perma rupture, it's nigh-impossible to even get through the first few encounters. And once you get rotten fruit, the earliest source of "free healing" you take like 3× the amount of overworld damage you'd normally take (due to poison). Any additional traumas would minimize your SP, SpA/SpD, Agility, Atk/Def, and Health. Maybe it IS possible, but for now Rupture is proving impossible on its own

An excelent and entertaining video! I was shocked by the second revive, but getting beaten by 3rd phase roland was probably hilarious enough to justify it. Thanks for your hard work! Edit: also, 16:32 is always a clip that gives me anxiety, mostly just because I *cannot* imagine being so mad you'd break what are no doubt expensive stuff. I have been mad enough to throw things, sure, but not mad enough to take a no-doubt expensive weeb sword to cut up my gaming monitors, smash up my dishes, and also probably break the sword. I’m a bit late but I just got back from a vacation and I gotta say! Probably your best video yet! It’s really great! I don’t remember if I asked this but have you considered doing these runs in SOTWS?

Thanks, glad you liked it! At the moment, I currently don't have any set-in-stone plans for SOTWS. I mean, I'd imagine I'll probably wanna do some sort of SOTWS video eventually (likely sometime after the "Pointless with 'X' Trauma" series is done), but for now I'm not really interested in the prospect of essentially repeating this "trauma series", just with SOTWS instead of vanilla. I'm not gonna rule it out entirely per se. I mean, if I ever decide I really DO wanna do it, I'm not gonna just rule out the possibility arbitrarily. Rather, I think it's just the most realistic answer to say that, at this point and time, I don't really wanna go into feeling obligated/"locked in" to re-making this series in SOTWS right after the vanilla one is done. I think it'll be more fun for me personally to have that sort of "freedom" once this series is over to do all sorts of different runs/games and have more of a variety going on.

Interesting, thanks for telling me about that. I've only played SOTWS once (Which was sometime pre-update 1.5, and I haven't even played any of those further expansions made by others, like that ultimate modpack or whatever.) so I'm not very familiar with any of the more technical changes SOTWS has made from the vanilla game's. Checked the files of the recent version and yeah, Dangerous actually makes the target have a 200% Stun rate. Geared Up also got a similar treatment too (Makes the Geared Up user 20% more vulnerable to Stun, instead of 70% resistant.)
