Hey, I wanted to thank you again for making and releasing this mod! I'd grown quite bored of pointless, and didn't think I'd play it again until MU because it just became too easy. I just finished a brain damage run, and the fear I felt going into some of the tougher fights made me feel like I was playing it for the first time again. The videos are really entertaining too, I can't believe you only have 302 subs. Keep it up!

Hey there, first of all I just wanna say that I really appreciate the feedback! It definitely helps me out with regard to what I should focus improving on. Anyway, I definitely agree with you about the text box. I've been thinking over different ways to implement the text for the next LISA video I make so the viewer hopefully won't have to pause the video as much to read/shift their eyes between gameplay and text constantly. That said (if you don't mind me rambling here a bit) I probably won't redo the exact same thing I did for the Brain Damage video though for a few reasons: 1: Personally speaking I don't really care for how that video looked, as (in my opinion) it doesn't look all that polished nor is it very stylized. Also I feel the way I implemented the text sometimes made the video look visually messy. 2: The XBox Game Bar (which is what I switched to for recording since OBS liked to freeze the visuals randomly) is a little finicky with LISA games from my current experience, as their lower resolution leaves a lot of blank space (not just the black bars that normally appear from a 4:3 resolution being put on a 16:9 one) so doing similar text would just take up more of the game's space and simultaneously show just how much empty space there is by not using it. Maybe there are settings that fix the issue but until then I have to acknowledge what I have to work with. 3: Finally, I've been trying to move away from making large blocks of text in these videos (a habit that I'm sure this reply makes apparent) so I'd like to implement a newer system that leaves less room for text so I can make the videos more streamlined/easier to watch. (As I probably wouldn't have as much text on-screen for a lot of other games). Anyway, sorry for the long reply. Again, I appreciate hearing your feedback, and I'll hopefully find a good solution that makes watching these more enjoyable!

Switching to SotWS was something I at least considered back when I uploaded the Brain Damage run, but I decided to stick with the original Pointless for this sort-of "series" I'm doing with the traumas. I haven't played the newest patch of SotWS (Patch 1.5, I believe? The major content update it had a few months ago) but even considering the old one I did play, there's a ton of stuff in there already. In turn I'd have to "re-learn" Pointless, this time with a large amount of new content, which when paired with potential pre-planning I'd need to do (choosing Geen/Salt Crab, what trades to do, what enemies to fight, etc.) would really slow down the "playing the game" portion of these for me. To top it off, having more/longer gameplay recordings means the editing takes a much longer time too (as these kinds of videos already take forever to edit). Also, part of the reason I like doing vanilla Pointless is simply because I think it has more of a wider appeal to it too: Based off the GameJolt numbers a lot more people have heard of L:TP than have heard of SotWS, so in turn playing normal Pointless helps give these videos more reach to people who may not follow the LISA fandom as closely as others

Anyway that all said, I won't completely rule out a SotWS run at some point as I do think there could be some cool potential for it, although I think it'd be much better off for me if I did it as a one-off bonus video instead. (Either doing a different type of challenge run for it, or maybe even doing 3rd Degree Burns with SotWS instead of base Pointless as a sort of "special episode"? I'd have to see what people's opinions on that would be though.)

Also one note of constructive crictism is that I feel these vids would be improved a ton by explaining the status effects. Because the health drop is obvious but while it's implied you never actually directly state that heart attack drops agility. Unless I'm mistaken. Otherwise fantastic vid I really enjoy how much you detail your combat strategies.

First of all, I appreciate the constructive criticism for the video, I was meaning to put a section in that directly stated what exact effects the status has, but the intro section was so bloated and I didn't wanna make it longer than I had to. (That said I will definitely look to put this into future videos of this type.) As for adding some form of this into your mod, you have my full permission! The only thing I'd ask is if you can give me some form of credit for using the "trauma at the start of the game" idea (if you decide to do so), personally I would appreciate that. Here is a really stupid question, do you think it's possible to beat chaz with all of the perma debuffs on? Like I don't care about anything else, just curious about chaz. Actually now that i think about it, rupture + 3rd degree burns would probably kill you before chaz does...

Theoretically I think you could, although in practice I think it'd be really, really unrealistic since your damage output would be really slow (reduced ATK from Broken Bones, and having to be more cautious with a reduced SP pool from Brain Damage), and thus Chaz has more turns to inflict Scared/Pissed (which tend to cause that fight to spiral out of control). Also with this version of the game I fixed it so he can do normal attacks after turn 2, so Heart Attack alone basically means that any of those attacks one-shot whoever they hit.

I'd say there's pretty much zero chance I'll ever play that mod to be honest. It's not that I think the quality of it is bad or anything (based off the trailer it seems fine), rather I'm just not all that interested in playing it, partially because it just seems really banal, given that it's an expansion mod of SotWS (which ITSELF is an expansion mod of Pointless)

Looking back to when I had done the gameplay recordings for this video, I'd say that having the normal SP really helped out against a lot of the major fights/bosses: -Roland (More-so he was less tedious, rather than less difficult compared to Brain Damage) -Anaconda (He usually one shots you anyway, so more SP = More room to Stunlock him) -Stefan (Meat hose inflicting Off Balance means Alex can't use stances, so more total SP makes that part of the fight less challenging) -Jessie (I'd say he was easier in this run compared to Brain Damage, but more because Alex's S.ATK isn't nerfed by Heart Attack unlike Brain Damage, which is the stat that determines Minor/Major Iris' scaling) -The Clown Car (More SP = More damage output = Less clowns to worry about at once) That said I did find that some enemies ended up being easier in the Brain Damage run then this one: -Chaz (Since I fixed his Bite/Scratch moves in this mod, I found him harder with Heart Attack than with Brain Damage. I think if you fought the vanilla, bugged version he'd be easier overall though with Heart Attack) -Chriss Bellucci (Beat him first try for both BD and HA, although I'd say HA was harder, since SP isn't a huge concern for him. I did fight his harder version for this video, unlike in Brain Damage, so I can't draw an exact comparison) -Arnold (The HP penalty of Heart Attack makes Arnold brutal, since you can barely take a hit from any of his attacks. I died to him a lot more in this video compared to the Brain Damage one, actually. Also I think there's something to be said that this run was the first time I've ever found a legitimate use for the Salty Bathrobe besides selling it.) Finally, while I don't show most of the basic enemies fights in these videos (at least the majority of the ones in Downtown), I'd say that the extra SP helped early on (mostly in Garbage Island for Alex's combo skills, since that would speed-up fights), but the further I got, the less that SP really mattered and the HP penalty of Heart Attack really became apparent. (In my opinion, I'd say that most of the basic enemies in downtown are more there to chip away at your HP/resources, rather than to pose any huge threat. However, that Chip Damage can really add up when it takes away a much larger percentage of your HP. For example, let's say you came out of a fight losing 300 HP. You'd probably be fine starting another one of these fights at, say, 500/800 HP, but probably not 100/400 HP, unless you knew for sure you could guarantee a kill on them)

I do upload pretty infrequently, so if that happens to you then hopefully if it's temporary then you won't miss out on much. The only other thing I can think of would be to download the mod I use for these videos if you haven't already. (To either play with the states I've done already for yourself, or to try the ones I haven't played yet.) Granted, I understand it's not the same as watching the videos, but it's the best thing I can think of should you find yourself without internet.
