He’s won just as much if not more, as is known worldwide as the single best goalkeeper with his feet which adds incalculable amount of value to the team. Schmeichel and Cech didn’t have a backline that played 50 yards away from their own box. Any chance that Ederson faces is a 1v1 breakaway 90% of the time. Any keeper who faces on average like three shots a match, two of them being clear 1v1, will concede more goals than the average. Watch the UCL final, he made like five saves that won them the match. He’s a great goalkeeper. If you narrow it down to just shotstoppers, then sure. If we are talking overall goalkeeping ability and impact he absolutely is up there as one of the best in league history. People will look back at him as a reference for how to play modern GK for decades to come.
