Shiho Nage is my favorite technique as well. Ive used it both in demonstration, and in self defense.

I think this is what people often miss about aikido, and why it takes so long to learn. The techniques have to work without strength because they need to work when you are outmatched in that. It's not a sport. You don't get paired up by weight and compete under a bunch of rules, so it needs to work always. It takes years of practice to train yourself out of the mindset of using force.

Correct technique (passing under the arm of the attacker) but it doesn't make sense not having the attacker in the video being in fact bigger/taller than the victim. Couldn't they have found a student bigger/taller than Azu to use in the demo? KEEP ON GROWING AIKIDOFLOWERS!
