I love the idea of a babysitter taking out a bunch of cultists to prevent them from sacrificing the kids are watching. But the movie needs the twist at the most dangerous person in the entire movie is actually the babysitter. Like nobody had any idea that the girl was basically a Black ops ancient in Rambo's daughter crossed with r-rated Kevin McCallister kind of thing.

The situation is a bit more complicated than what’s shown in this recap. The intruders are actively searching the house (and the woods during her escape) when she plugs the phone in, preventing her from using it immediately. She doesn’t use the bat immediately because he knows she’s trying to ambush him is on guard. When she does, he avoids the attacks, causing her to prey his belief that she’s scared and incapable of harming him in order to get him to drop his guard. It’s not a great film, but there’s some details missing from this video.

I watched the movie on Prime a couple of weeks before this video. The babysitter is watching the child and playing a game of hide and seek with her before the family comes home, which sets up a pivotal scene in the narrative. The babysitter stays to talk with the older daughter and her boyfriend, who remember the babysitter from high school. It’s important to note Nerd Explains glosses over several plot details in the movie, and excludes scenes that explain or set up certain developments, presumably to avoid copyright issues.
