I really like Joel kinneman as an actor, and I think his portrayal of RoboCop really flies under the appreciative radar.
@maximcypher3109 Жыл бұрын
agree. I think the modern Robocop movie sucked, but it wasnt Kinneman's lack of talent. The script kinda sucked.
@A_Stereotypical_Heretic11 ай бұрын
@@maximcypher3109if it stood alone, it might have been decent, definitely had some memorable scenes like the big reveal of his lack of human body parts, but it had to fill such gigantic shoes. You just can't do a half ass remake of a movie like RoboCop. There will never be another RoboCop. However Prime Directive was a pretty decent continuation... Considering it wasn't Peter Weller
@maximcypher310911 ай бұрын
@@A_Stereotypical_Heretic The remake lacks grit and satire of og. While yes some cgi was improved, it lacked quips, and Samuel Jackson was too corny in the role. The OG badguys were better at their sleazy characters. Havent really watched Prime Directive.

This movie was honestly very funny and I can't believe an action director like John Woo didn't intentionally made it that way.
@krishanubanerjee6955 Жыл бұрын
I hope you are right about that. Otherwise, this was a shoddy attempt at cloning Death Sentence. Hopefully, a filmmaker of Woo's caliber wouldn't make that mistake.

And another Punisher is born... We can name this one "The Discipliner" ... Since it's a slightly watered down Frank Castle
@llongone2 Жыл бұрын
Actually, not really a Punisher clone. People forget that the character was based more on the novel that spawned the Death Wish film franchise. The protagonists (Punisher included) never avenge their lost loved ones; instead they develop a pathological hatred of all crime an attack all criminals they find (interesting, and reflects the opinions of society instead of boring, overdone revenge theme). Sadly, the Netflix Punisher series ignored all of this and just turned Frank Castle into a cliched "Retaliator". This movie's character is also "The Retaliator".

May not be the most practical revenge movie ever, but it checks alot of boxes. Believable motive✅️ Training ✅️ Satisfying kills✅️ Cathartic final boss showdown✅️ (i seriously loved how personal that strangulation scene was) And of course it isn't a Jon Woo movie unless the characters are dual wielding at some point lol.

You were saying that the car had absolutely no protection against bullets, but didnt he put a bunch of kevlar or something on the inside of car's body? Would that not have been enough to keep him somewhat safer, or not at all? Granted, it definitely was the wrong car for what should have heen a stealth mission. Also, when he decided to not shoot "Scribbles" girlfriend, I said "AW COME ON!" in the theater. There really were so many horrible decisions made in this movie.

Exorcist lady: she's lying, don't leave me alone with the possessed kids! Dad: I'ma go get that axe. Exorcist: no, don't leave the room! Dad: I'ma leave the room now... ::finds the girl lied about the axe and sees the kids kill the exorcist:: Dad: HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN!? Then there's the part where he's arguing with his ex, and absolutely no one notices the dog eat the little girl.

I get the need for revenge after such a huge tragedy, & that its a lot of trauma to deal with. But honestly the main character is an inconsiderate asshole 🤷🏽♀️. The wife lost their son as well, and her husband isolated himself when they needed each other the most. She's in immense pain too and he only thought of himself and his revenge. Why over pressure rounds when you could just go subsonic suppressed? What’s the benefit of over pressure in this case?
@mad4song01 Жыл бұрын
Typically over pressure rounds are best for sniper rifles since it’s useful for longer distance.
@devin8530 Жыл бұрын
You commonly see handgun self-defense rounds as "+p" or higher pressure because that means more energy and higher velocity for the bullet. You want this when you need to deliver as much damage per shot into a target as possible, vs. lower pressure range or practice rounds.

one gripe. Why choose federal 9mm over Hornaday critical defense?
@miguelambriz9109 Жыл бұрын
Who chooses hornady over federal? HST is where its at.
@Simply709 Жыл бұрын
@@miguelambriz9109 The Hornaday has a lower flash so it's not as blinding at night and has the rubber tip which allows the bullet to travel longer distances with less drag as well as penetrate softer materials without causing any deformation before hitting its intended target. Its also available in way more calibers. The only benefit of the HST is it penetrates deeper, but in most cases you don't want that to happen. the reason why people like HST is because it has been around longer which screams the same tone at the two world war 1911 boomers
