I watch them just for the fact that some of these ideas work really well in shorts. Horror is a hard thing to make work/get across and so multifaceted, that it's very easy for mainstream stuff to be very samey or just not hit for you personally. With ABCs, you get unique challenges for filmmakers and very creative results. Some work, some are just overly drastic social commentary and others are just purely wtf brainfarts. The best ones make you wish there was more and you can play out different scenarios with the specific idea in mind in your head. Cycle and Removal were so unique and interesting that I really found myself wanting the story to continue and to be fleshed out for a bit longer. And while cycle isn't that novel a concept, removal felt like a genuinely great idea that could bloom into a fullblown movie.

I mean the border wasn't crossed. They introduced the idea, you absolutely know people like that exist and on a list of ever-worsening fetishes planting that as an endpoint makes sense. The escalation is even done quite well, given we're expecting it to go into more gross body mutilation stuff and then this ends up being the last scene and mentally everyone can just go "yup, guess that's death then". I'd say the youngbuck story is a lot more graphic about it, just because of how visceral and over-the-top disgusting it is.

One of the most eye-piercing/bleeding stuff I have ever watched in my life. It’s so bad, I actually regret watching it At least with Redo of Healer, the only characters being tortured by the disturbed MC are actually evil, cruel, heartless, absolutely scumbag characters that you probably want to grab straight through the screen and smack in the face a thousand times, so it’s somehow less disturbing that way But here, it’s just random BS they pull out, that’s so shocking, it makes you wonder what’s inside the search history of whoever woke up and decided to make this garbage And don’t get me started with when they brought in the CHILD during that rod-jerking mini game for absolutely no reason, if it wasn’t unimaginably horrible already. Were they trying ANY OPTION POSSIBLE to make the guy lose on purpose at that moment???! I don’t blame the guy for throwing up, as at that point, I was so bewildered and experienced many emotions at once, I just got up and walked away from my device. I’m just going to go watch cute cat videos after this.

Oh, you'd be surprised by what dogs can become in the wrong hands, especially those breeds that are well known for being: "The preious little angel/The hero that can do NO bad!" and ends up with lazy owners who really are that alienated from the real world to think that labs and goldens will act like perfect TOYS (never misbehave without training, never people-reactive even if mistreated and used like toys in the house, never dog-reactive even if unsocialized and such) because the internet said so and will then get their ideal "robot" hoping to have the cool perfectly-behaved dog without moving a finger to educate it or oscialize it before. The ""worst"" dog we had my former neighborhood was a chocolate lab the owner would walk unleashed despite the beast constatly lunging at every other animals and growling like he had rabies, he attacked three different dogs and as you can imagine, when people tried to report it, it was one of the attacked dog that got in trouble (it didn't even give back half of the damages, but the aggressive one was the "perfect angel that cannot be mean by some random superior law") and if you ever tried to point out how aggressive the lab was, most people would just laugh in your face for suggesting that a labrador from real life can be problematic and is not like the trained ones you acting in some cheap Christmas movie were it saves the day. People only took it seriously after he attacked two little kid and got the second one on the face, then animal control finally gave a damn about the dog and the shitty owner, don't even know if the poor animal had been abused or it was a classic case of terrible backyard breeding in the hands of someone too cheap to talk with a vet. and a trainer, but luckily the man didn't get any dog after and was put on a blacklist by different shelters and breeders in the zone. I honestly trust owners with these breed less everyday, big part of the time they're Disneyfanatics still believing their real life animals will bow and beg forgiveness if you start beating it, they became a problem like people getting work and guard breeds 'cause "scary looking dogs/bullies/sheperds are cool" without doing the proper research before on how to take care of them.
