I will say. It is justified why she gave the cat to the scarred guy. Miko saw that he was surrounded by good spirits of cats that turned into Nakomatas or youkai who were cats raised well and love their owner. At that point, a guy surrounded by good cats seems better than a guy surrounded by dark cats.

The scarred guy looks like half the guys I know from the metal/goth/punk clubs who LOVE their kitty cats. Yes, give the dude with all the skull tattoos, peircings and big stompy boots the kitty, these people treaure their pets.

Honestly I don't see any problem with giving the cat to the multiple scars guy. As for the other guy, those cat ghosts looked like that not because of his actions, but by a human connected to him.

I'm pretty sure the times she just freezes up instead of doing anything is because she's frozen in fear. That's her fight or flight response. But the ghosts see it as her just not seeing them. As for the whole multiverse thing with the umbrella, that might be partly right. In my opinion, the ghost-seeing started with that one ghost directly asking her something. Maybe that's the sort of thing where there is a correct response that will make the ghost leave you alone. Not responding at all might have caused the ghost to curse her to be haunted and see other ghosts. It left her alone because the curse was placed. No need to stay there.

I don't think choosing to take an umbrella would have stopped anything in the long run. We don't know what caused her to be able to see ghosts to begin with. Even if she took an umbrella that day, she would have run into a ghost sooner or later, and things would have progressed more or less the same. Yes, according to the theory of the multiverse, a coin flip could create a hypothetical universe where you got the opposite result. But not every coin flip fundamentally changes the world in which you live. Sometimes the differences are negligible at best.

honestly i genuinely consider it survival instinct her not really reacting; like she just instantly felt that she should not react no matter what, her subconscious kicked into high gear warning her of the dangers and what she should do and she felt she had no choice but to listen; so that's less balls of steel to me and more "holy crap i am gonna regret it if i react" and good survival instincts not the first time people even in real life have been saved by weird gut feelings and intuition-

I think her first act with her first ghost was kind of rude all they wanted to know is if she could see them but she refuses to answer every time sure I can understand the fear from seeing it but she did not help the first living impaired being she met but that's just how I felt about the first ghost.
