This anime was the first to have me rooting for the "villains" because i could understand their position. The one kid, i think it was 12, even had Synesthesia which is seeing sounds as color, and the girl that came with them had a color unique from anyone he has ever met. Which is probably why he showed so much interest in her. They oroginally met her before the first bombing. Bullies pushed her in a pool, and made fun of her for being in while dressed, and 12 saw this when climbing, and decided to jump in himself.

The fact that the actual bad guys got served Justice in the end because the real world they would have just gotten away with it it would have been covered up and yes as an American I do believe our government has done some horrible things throughout the centuries that we will never know

This anime was really great, especially in terms of production. The story, frankly, was normal, and most of the events in it were expected. My favorite character was Twelve and my worst character was Lisa, because she almost didn't do anything of value in the story. I could have left her aside and almost the whole story wouldn't have changed. But the thing I liked the most about the anime was the end, it was simply perfect. The end is what made me raise my rating for the anime from 7.5 to 8/10.

It’s a famous riddle in western history but A. Most people who haven’t studied any Greek mythology wouldn’t automatically know the answer, and B. Tons of common Japanese myths are completely unknown to many western cultures, it’s not unreasonable to assume the opposite is true
