Burt would have been prepared for everything, he’s the crazy tactical genius. They definitely didn’t see the tremors trilogy and prequel or the series. The man lived with El Blanco for years.

The most unrealistic part of that movie is Burt not being armed to the teeth. Even if he's doing some silly castaway type deal, he'd still have some serious weaponry on hand Just In Case. So yeah, he got robbed by the writers. Very robbed. They had the nerf the hell out of him just to give the graboids a chance at all.

I wouldn't give burt a 3.5 survivor score, because he hasn't used reliable methods he has learned in the past. Any good survivor would use reliable methods they have used before in a life or death situation.

This. I feel like Burt only got a 3.5 for nostalgia reasons. In the old movies he gets a 4 or 5, but in these new movies he behaves like he's never encountered graboids before and definitely deserves a 2 for ignoring old methods that obviously worked well when he knew exactly what he was going to be facing.

Oof at that sponsor. While I'm glad Nerd Explains got a sponsor, just so you guys know I pre registered for Bloodline and have been playing it since open. It is entirely false advertising (doesn't have the feature it advertises for and doesn't even tell you in game but instead leads you to think the feature is implemented via the tutorial), p2w, horrible balance, devs legit stole resources from their players and refused to compensate (made leveling up champions cost a lot less but when we reset our heroes we didn't get the gold invested back despite it being a resource you can pay real money for) and has really rude/ negligent support (and discord mods) who will either ignore you or dismiss any issues you have including valid refund requests. They also changed the graphics from the gorgeous art you see in the ad to these horribly ugly, uncanny valley 3D models and are refusing to change it back or give us an option to despite the entire community hating it. I really hate to leave a comment like this about a sponsor and maybe it'll even be deleted, but I feel like this community deserves to know this stuff going in just so you guys can hopefully avoid negative experiences, whether you play the game or not.

It does have one thing going for it. Which is that the in-game currency is given out. It's not as pay to win as almost every other game out there. (I'm looking at you diablo) The diamonds can be got in enough amounts that I haven't actually paid for anything in a long while. (Which I only did ONCE keep in mind.) So you don't technically need to pay and just save. This naturally puts you behind the whales, but it isn't as bad as a lot of the other games. (**COUGH** Diablo) Yes the changes to the models are bad. Everyone in the game hates the change and wants it back. But you DO get the resources back when you reset the heroes. Not the upgrading of the heroes. (Making them have more stars.) but the gold and skills that you upgraded are refunded every time. I would like a way to reset the star level. (marriage would be a great way to get this done) and a way to change the gender of a hero. Which would be far better. I've got one hero that I can't level out anymore because the female version I have is basically rarer than rare. EVEN the lower tier ones. I think it's rarer than even getting the legendary rarity of a hero. I haven't noticed that much of a balance issue. But then I don't really care about PVP at all. The campaign is long and extensive and scales in power in relative amounts to how you play. Another grief is leveling equipment, that scales far too much in materials and gold. The gold leveling for heroes also gets ridiculous after a certain level. I'm not saying it is the worst game ever. Nor the best. But it is a mobile game and honestly better than Raid honestly enough. Which I've played as well and that had a campaign you breeze through fast. So if you like a story, this is your game. Honestly speaking its the most enjoyable mobile I have ever played. I like having a harem and I worked quiet a lot to get one of my favorite characters.

Fun fact, At the final scene, Burt is flipping off Jimmy as jimmy was trying to be the "Hero" of the situation by not letting Burt do it alone. Burt in his greatness knew how this was gonna end and decided to save Jimmys life and give him a final send off before he died!

Completely agreed! Personally, Tremors and Tremors 2 are really the only ones I still consistently rewatch repeatedly. 4 is still enjoyable to me, and 3...well, besides it feeling like a SUPER cheap, borderline spoof, and it being the beginning of Burt Gummer's 'Flanderization', still felt like it at least still had the heart of the original in it. The rest of them...meh. I don't begrudge anyone for liking them, and won't deny that they have their merits, but they just never landed with me at all, and without Burt would have felt like an entirely different franchise altogether (again, just my personal opinion)

As far as the viewer knows, Jaz has never faced graboids, only studied them. So her mind might not have automatically gone into graboid mode in that situation.

The hunters probably used up all the ammo they had for the other guns (that day and/or the nigh before) and only had that left, that's if the other guns were still intact or retrievable as most of the hunters were taken with their guns. I think killing off Burt was the only really conclusive way to end this series; with him alive, there’d always be the possibility of him facing off against more graboids in Tremors lore. But they could’ve done it much better than this. He deserved a hero’s death, for carrying the franchise for 32 years. As for this movie, I kinda loved it. Grew up with the Tremors series, and this one movie had a lot of wet dream fantasies all in one tremors movie: a beefed up mercenary with a Mingun, heavy gunfights, a backdrop of tropical Thailand and pristine beaches, and some decent graphics and CGI, if I may. If only Burt’s death was better made. And honestly, I don’t think a Kevin Bacon cameo would be entirely impossible. Imagine Burt walking off into the sunset with McKee, as the conclusion to this franchise, instead of a finger-wielding, pointless death.

Horse girl here, you can use damn near anything plastic to get zip ties free. I do it with 1 ton bales of hay, and close my stuff with zip ties when I have to leave stuff my horses will get into in pasture. You can use a shoelace, baling twine, another zip tie, and if you're crafty enough, one of those old fabric phone chargers that's broke, and if your desperate enough, your teeth. I've gotten zip ties off with all above, but my zip ties were on things, not on me. Them being on you changes that a lot I guess. Also the actor who plays Burt has a really solid seat at his age at a hard gallop like that. I used to scoff at the name assblaster, but now it's 2022 and we have a pistol called a yeet cannon. I can see it happening in this day and age

Yeah maybe. They tend to not fall for the same tricks multiple times though. Tremors 2 has Earl and Grady basically using explosive bait and that works pretty well for a while. The problem is, what is poisonous to them and how do you get enough of that in them to actually kill one? Then, how long is it going to take to be effective because all these movies devolve into a fight for survival very quickly and relying on poison to kick in wouldn't be great in that situation. If you just mean the shriekers and not graboids in general though, they've been shown to eat whatever is handy with reckless abandon so you could almost certainly trick them into eating poison bait. But, like I said earlier, what will kill them? We don't know.

I think the reason he didn’t loot the weapons after they were all dead was because of the biometric safeties on them most likely bill had rigged them to only disengage when the respective user of the gun grabs it so without the actual hunters to unlock the guns with the biometric safeties they were effectively useless because Burt and the rest wouldn’t have the time nor the skills to hack the locks to allow them to use them you’re reasoning of looting the camp doesn’t actually hold up because biometric locks would lock a weapon out to anyone that is authorized by the programming of the lock so even if they did have spare weapons in the camp I can bet all of them had those locks on them so Burt and the rest of the survivors would just be wielding a gun shaped club And if Burt actually pointed out the lock on bill’s gun he more than likely figured they all had those locks for safety reasons and didn’t even try to take them knowing that only the hunters could unlock them and to him and his group it would be better to use what they already had as they knew those weapons worked in their hands

One other thing that bugged me about this, there are tried and true methods of killing Graboids, which everyone ignores. In the second movie, they attach remote detonated explosives to RC cars. Once the graboid eats the car, set off the explosive. Simple. Second, Burt is, like is said in the video "the crazy uncle we all want" Burt should have some pretty serious hardware, or know where to get some, or at least know the radio frequencies the military uses. Given he knows the threat inside and out (he was literally eaten by a graboid in an earlier movie) he knows what level of firepower is needed, tactics required, strengths and weaknesses. 4 graboids should've been a slam dunk for Burt.

You are incorrect. Elephant guns (big game rifles) are more than adequate for graboids. It was an 8 Bore in the first one that killed the first graboid, and a .600 Overkill would be just fine. Though I do agree that .50 BMG is a good choice.

I think the reason they didnt do the pipebomb fishing trick from the first movie, is that its implied that it wouldnt work anymore because the species had learned that trick. Its a poor excuse, but the film makers obviously didnt want to just do what the previous movie did.
