Also when she abducted the boy remember she didn't kill them she instead feed him due to his starvation. And when she ripped adems jaw open is because he was hunting her and became a threat. @@halofornoobs93 I mean thats how it is, unless they explicitly try to depict other human species like neanderthal, denivovan, maybe cro-magnon? But if its homo sapien then yes they’d look like us. Now caveman language is basically unknown but a movie did try to make a language using broken caveart which depicted some letters and the movie was called “Quest for Fire”. It has Ron Pearlman in it for a big name but its a bit hard to watch because its entirely in a mostly made up caveman language. We also have surviving Paleolithic clothing so we know what our ancestors would wear and most of the animals would be the same but that depends how far back you go. Geography is also important if it takes place in the americas then they need to hire Native American actors for historical accuracy as they were the people whom existed at the time the well known clovis people. Yeah I don’t see anything wrong with casting modern people aside from making sure everyone is fit and matches the geography of the time. Typically not how it would work. If they would accept others - the outsiders would be 3rd class members of the Nomad. You eat last, you sleep last, you get no say in where the group goes, and you remain silent in all decision-making. Trade would be welcome, certainly. As well as any hospitality received would be given in turn. Everyone knows how harsh things are. But if you wanted to integrate yourself into the tribe, you were an outsider first and last. And if it was one of the more war-like tribes; you definitely were not going to be treated like an equal.
@retsaMinnavoiG5 ай бұрын
In the real world no tribe or group was (generally) completely isolated. We know that the Native Americans and Indigenous Australians for example had many nomadic periods or populations but they were generally aware of other nomadic or static groups and would often swap people for marriage.

That's what happened. The Neanderthal's weren't wiped out. They interbred with the Sapiens to form modern humanity. Most Europeans have a good chunk of Neanderthal ancestry. You see this in countless examples of foreigners that were integrated into local societies. Especially in small groups, every able hand is valuable. Most likely if that woman had a group that was roughly as strong as the visitors, she would have met them in the open and negotiated them. However, being alone, she must not have thought it safe, as she could have been captured herself. Because unfortunately, every womb is valuable to a small group as well.

That is not how the mentality of the collective typically works. If there is danger, you do not want the mass of people worried about it. Period. They WILL not help. They WILL fight back. And now you are at odds against two entities: everyone on the inside you are trying to protect that now sees YOU as the immediate threat and the actual threat on the outside. Because the collective can and will throw YOU as the sacrificial lamb the moment anything happens. Does the group need to run? Your leg is broken to let them escape; even if you are the strongest and most capable because that is your job. Mass hysteria in the group is 100x WORSE than their ignorance.

It reduces metabolic pressure, offers protection from the megafauna you just pointed out are still alive at this point in time, and will give some rudimentary protection from any hostile neighbors. Even if it is nothing more than a cave, that could be the difference between life and death. Water is important, but freshwater is (as noted) fairly easy to come across. This film is set 45,000BC according to it's wiki and that is right around the time Britain was first settled and Ireland would not have it's first human beings arrive until 35,000 years later that the movie is set so no chance it is Ireland. Seeing as it is a British movie with British actors filmed in Britain i am thinking it is a safe bet that it is set on Britain in or near Scotland and they crossed from Doggerland or along the coast to get to the Highlands.

While I did like the concept of the monster being an actual historical character instead of mythical creatures or a alien was cool. I couldn’t be more distracted by the cast. The hunter gatherers look way to clean and look more like people modeling for a company than people who’ve been hunting for their entire lives.

It didn't seem like they had any issues with starting or tending fires (other than the one time they were in a rush in the forest). Why wouldn't they have three fires (or four) arranged around your camp? Especially once near the forest with plenty of wood.

@ines0499 I don't want to sit here and explain to you why that's so wrong, just Google how long a cubic meter would take to dig by hand and times that by 3 or 4. Have a good day! 😁

Can you do cube two hypercube? If you’re already working on it I’m sorry.. it’s just that I haven’t seen anybody do it yet. And your video on the first movie was great. I saw you liked my. Comment. but I’m not sure if that means all systems go.

Fun fact: Neolithic people are thought to have only walked for a maximum of 2 hours in order to find food and this ensured you were still within a good distance of your settlement.
