I don't want to spit on someone else hard work but i feel that this revenge plot was waaaay more convoluted than necessary. Creating 10 vests with explosives, life sensors and even a nice electronic display is a lot of hi-tech effort. You can achieve the same exact result (if we accept the bullshit gas for kidnapping) by digging a very huge hole, throwing all of them inside and say "the last remaining will leave"...or don't and just let them die there. Final point: even after all this mess the actual person he wanted to kill almost managed to survive this whole mess.

That's what I kept thinking. You could clearly see the gaps in the shoulder pads sticking up above the actual shoulders, especially on the girl's. Have PJ and Kato grab the shoulders on Raian's vest and pull with all their might upward while she drops her bodyweight down and puts her arms straight up. She'll probably fall right out of it. If more force is needed, have some others grab her legs and add extra weight pulling down on her. Might need to get a little rougher and more creative, using crowbar and trees for leverage to get it off the bigger guys, but it should be doable.

Wait so let me see if I got this right: his son overdosed on drugs and died. The cops ruled it as an accident but he knew it wasn’t, so he captured people he thought did it. But then he actually leaves it up to chance and the actual killer almost got away? That’s one of the worst revenge plots I’ve ever heard of. Also if she was that close to being valedictorian, shouldn’t there at least be some rumors floating around about that? Also that her cop father knew who it was should have immediately given it away

Hello again. For this movie, I say the biggest ding on the plan comes right out of the gate: killing yourself at the beginning of your revenge plot. Seriously?!! Dude, what is the point of revenge if you're not going to watch the little bastards suffer? Nearly all of the joy comes out of knowing that you won, and seeing THEM know that you won. 0/10 I have some new suggestions that I've thought of: The Requin (2022) for an example where I am almost positive they were actively trying to make their situation worse; Centigrade (2020) where I give them a solid 6/10 on survival instincts. Half of the group screwed up pretty bad, but overall I think they did pretty good, plus I give the movie a slight break for this situation being based on a true story. Finally, Poseidon (with Kurt Russell). I'm curious on how you would survive that situation. Love the content, always eager for more!!!

The vests have to be attached to itself, to fit around the torso, right? Examine each other's vests and find and cut the straps. If it fits over the head, like a sweater vest, then there has to be some slack lest they die of asphyxiation before the game is complete, right? The game runner wouldn't risk that, as it would just defeat the purpose of the game. If there's slack, you should be able to fit your flat hand down through the arm holes. If you can get a single arm down through the bottom of the vest, you could have your friends yank the vest off over your head. Repeat, until all are off. Since the game runner killed himself, there's absolutely no penalty for cheating the game.

@feathero3
@feathero3 2 жыл бұрын
I don't know. I'd like to think it would be unthinkable, but I can also easily believe some people I know who could jump to that extreme in a panic. Maybe it depends on the people and/or the situation.
@ShiningDarknes
@ShiningDarknes 2 жыл бұрын
@@feathero3 I don't doubt they might panic and kill one person, but killing people is not "normal" the vast majority of people when faced with the option of killing or doing literally anything else will choose option 2. Killing with something that does not instantly kill is even worse. So sure, some of the might kill once but would likely not want to again. It takes someone that has something seriously wrong with them to willingly kill multiple other people. These movies would have you believe that basically 90% of the population are actually just psychopaths. It would be different if they seemed to have some sort of remorse or regret or literally any of the things people that have had to kill someone report feeling (you know, like the guy that accidentally killed someone in this film and then freaked out about it), but no, most of them look practically happy to be murdering their supposed friends like savages instead of trying to figure out a solution that doesn't involve the last man standing scenario being the go-to option. They had a lot of time, even the person with the lowest (other than the guy that had basically no time and was pretty much doomed to die).

I mean if you think about it, minus watching the movie and taking notes, the editing and sound (which almost every single channel on youtube does), voice over is the only original content and it's just simple talking. The length of the video is more than partially related to the film itself and the party that created it still deserves more praise. Not bashing the channel, I love this kind of content and I think it's neat that they've found a corner that brings them revenue and is efficient compared to others.

Hello, this is probably going to get lost in the shuffle of comments here but I just wanted to say it in hopes you read it. I just want to say thank you, yesterday Sunday the 17th I was in a severe car accident. Totaled my car and when the impact hit my head hit my steering wheel causing a massive laceration from eye to eye about an inch deep. I hit and fortunately staying conscious and watched blood drip and pour from my head, it was quite scary but I knew from watching these videos that I had only a moment or so to best save myself. I took off my shirt to apply pressure to my head and called 911 while keeping myself from panicking, I was able to call and speak to the 911 operators and they had help coming. A very nice woman came by and pulled my door open and got me a towel to continue putting pressure on it. Eventually the police arrived and gave me some field dressing and then the ambulance arrived and took me to the hospital, 7 hours and over 20 stitches later with a plastic surgeon I was allowed to go home. So long story short thank you for these, always keeping me in the mind set where second count I believe saved my life. Thank you.

It would be quite interesting challenge to make this movie into a multiplayer VR game. Devs would have to come up with mechanics that would keep all players from instantly going berserk and degrade their experience to casual deathmatch. For example the characters assumed by players would be involved in simulated relationships with each other and if character A kills character B that he/she's supposed to be friends with, he/she receive penalties to movement speed or impaired interactions with VR environment, that would reflect emotional distress for doing something very wrong. These relationships would have to dynamically evolve throughout the game to cause frequent alliance changes (A likes B, but kills C who was B's best friend, so B starts to hate A, but A is still emotionally vulnerable towards B, so A is better off allying with neutral D and so on). Also, there should actually exist the way to remove explosive vests, but it should be hidden behind some RNG-based mechanics that always spawns objects necessary to achieve this goal in a wide variety of ways, but they are hidden in random locations every time and require team effort to find them. Then if plenty of complex but logically sound and predictable interactions with VR world are added, then we would have quite nice simulator to test whether Nerd's tactics are actually viable ;)

A smart man who learned the town sheriff covered it up should have already been able to pinpoint Raian as the murderer anyway. Who else would the sheriff be covering for? His daughter only seems to like PJ in the group (and none of them but PJ seem to like her either) so it's not like the dad would put his neck on the line for kids his daughter doesn't even like. If any doubts, just strap up PJ and Raian and make them duel to the death over it; they're the only possible culprits once you know it's a police coverup.

24:51 obligatory Thanos, "You should have gone for the head...!" Meme? No? Que lastima. Wait. Katos name is actually spelled like the hunger games character? No. Kato did NOT deserve the win because he could not stop monologuing. I'd love for someone to go through and calculate how much time he SHOULD have had assuming he had just, "Shut up and driiive!"

Halothane gas might no longer be used/available, but there are many other inhalation based anaesthetic gases that are still used on a daily basis. It's not the only one, just one in a long series that have been used in medicine throughout history. Getting hung up on a single one doesn't rule out the others (since nothing is mentioned by name)

As soon as I learned about the 'Timer game', I would have bid my time until I knew which one had the most time, and "Do the deed" run off and hide (all hide and no go seek). Shoot, I just found a flaw in my plan. (Ok) I would have to figure out which ones I need to (do the deed too), take them out, and then hide. Well, regardless, I'd be the last person standing.

Problem is that if someone else kills all the other players you didn't they may earn more time than you or if they find the second remote and use it everyone's time drops to the lowest amount left. The second one you can't really plan for because you would have no idea until it's too late but the first is an obvious problem. You can only hide and wait it out like that if you have more time left than all other players combined.

So you are a fucking psychopath? Got it. As stated murdering everyone is hardly the best way to win, for one if anyone found out you would be convicted of multiple murders. Just figure out how to get the vests off, I mean they turn off when no vitals are detected so they probably don't blow if you get them off without disconnecting any wires.

Can't you just....breathe out real hard, squeeze you core to tighten your ribcage, sink your head into your shoulders and have someone yank this thing off of you? It's not connected to our crotch so it should be super easy. I've seen this movie too long ago so I might be missing something.

As someone who has run 1ks of feet of cable for different IT projects. U bend that shit to about 45-60 degrees and it’s pretty much useless for communication purposes. As in it won’t properly convey a signal For more clarification, I mean a hard bend at one site not like a sloping bend. U get it to bend all at one section of cable so it’s a hard 45-60 but truthfully I’d try to bend it farther than that.

This is interesting. I've had a lot of Cat6a or 7a in my hands already and when we tied a knot in there and really pull it tight (hell even several knots, because why not), there was absolutely no problem with signal transmission. I don't want to offend you, so sorry if I do, but I don't know where you from, yet here in Europe, where I live, that's how the cables should be. To clarify: I'm talking about industrial Belden network cable (copper of course, but the category gave that away). Enjoy your day :-)

@@ReaperSilently no fair enough man, we mostly worked with cat5e and sometimes cat6 but yea I can’t tell u how many times I fucked up on a run and ran something too tight and I could not get the cable to transmit. Like I’d use a cable tracer and it would not pick up. I probably used the wrong name there for the device but u hook one end of the cable to it and use the wand included to search for cable signal drops (ours had a horrendous beep when it would go off). That being said our cable might not have been industrial grade but I doubt the little bit of foil would have changed much.

This might be my last time watching a video. This was a great KZbin channel. I watched every video and I would pretend I was you, everytime I watched a movie I would try to survive if I was a character in the film. This channel helped me through tough times, it was nice just hearing your great commentary skills. I've slowly lost interest with the blurs covering the entire screen. It's not your fault, it's KZbins fault. They ruin many channels with all the demonitization. I had an amazing time watching every video on this channel. I hope your channel will continue to grow. It was a great ride Nerd Explains. It was a great ride.

Would have looked into disconnecting the batteries or maybe the antenna. If the vests couldn't communicate with each other than it might have been over. At least try the antenna thing and find some water to jump in. Water would make a signal harder to travel through and maybe screw up the batteries if you made it no longer water proof. If no water to jump in then use what you brought to drink.

I would take the rods that make the tent frames break them down to the shortened length. Shove them better me and the vest as a safety measure and then take the axe and have a friend I trust progressively hit the cable hard and hard until something happened. Or better yet for more precision you put the axe on the cable and hit the back of the axe with a larger heavier object. Or better better yet use the gun and bullets to shoot through the cable point blank and still using the rods for as much protection and distance they can provide.

I would see if chest compressions were possible and if they were then we could try resuscitation after choking someone out or something. There's a good chance those vests wouldn't turn back on after it read someone as dead. It would be worth a shot to maybe beat this with some brain damage and if someone couldn't be resuscitated, the person would give their friends more time to figure something like you posited out or to get to help.
