Why would you immobilize and then use big head to crush him out of the freeze??? You should be hitting him with all you got before the freeze ends, then use big head. Don’t waste your immobilize.

Using the big head puts you in a vulnerable position. You can still take damage and even be killed while using the big head. Using the big head when the enemy is disabled isn't a bad idea.

Yes he is very hard, but if you follow this strategy and learn the dodge timings you will get him for sure!

His combos are very readable. He attacks in 3s normally. After a straight dash he does one slow attack. When he's in the air, his dashes are easily dodgeable, then he rises up into the air to slam down. Once he's low health, he'll do that slam multiple times, but everything is very telegraphed. You don't need to cheese him. Not even sure why that would feel like an accomplishment

@supr_ I doubt you tried everything. You didn't even try dodging of you found him hard. This boss wasn't even that difficult. His attack pattern is pretty obvious and he gives you tons of space. His air dash is easily dodgable. You didn't defeat him. You cheesed him. It's not much of an accomplishment. The fight was actually really fun if you get up in his face and actually fight him. Part of your problem is you probably still run immobilize, which is just a crutch. Its totally unnecessary and at this point of the game, you should have figured out how to consistently perfect dodge. Ring of Fire is a far superior spell in every way imaginable, but no one uses it because they can't get off immobilize

You don't need to cheese him. You just need to be decent at dodging. The 3rd relic dodge enhancement is helpful. Just assume he's always going to attack 3 times before you have enough time to get a few lights in. Don't go for the full chain.

@carltonjimburton9026 I don't know what that means. Compared to the final 2 bosses, Yellow Long is easy. In NG+ and NG++, once you understand his attack pattern and know how to do see through and pass through counters, yiu should beat him first try

@@merc9nine I've played one of the final 2 bosses and NO yellow loong is definitely harder 😂 I had to skip this boss go level up, beat 100 eyed daoist & red boy, only just came back to beat this guy. And it still was a sweating experience. Unreasonably difficult imo

Pillar Stance and Ring of Fire are much better combos for this fight. I beat him with a full gourd because of ring of fire healing, and I still had my transformation in pocket. You aren't going to get a full combo off on him. He attacks 3 times minimum, dodge them all, get a few quick lights in, be ready to dodge again. When you need to heal, ring of fire. Charge heavy Pillar strike. If he goes to hit you, he only hits your pole and it drains stamina. Ring makes the heavy charge faster and heals you. If you run out of stamina, you just automatically attack him with whatever lvl of heavy you charged to.

All valid points! Me personally, I dont use ring of fire at all as my build is centered around Immobilize. But I’m sure would work well in this fight. And yes pillar would work in this fight but I think thrust attacks slightly better because the tracking is better. I find myself using pillar more often throughout the game but because yellow loong is a smaller target, thrust is easier to consistently hit. At the end of the day, there are many different build combinations that I’m SURE would work just as well- but this is MY build and this is how I did it. Thats why this game is so awesome!

@@JAPLAYSGAMES thrust has better tracking, but I didn't miss a single charged heavy on him and even when be charges through my staff to the other side, it still tracked him. If I was going to use thrust, it would be for the step back then heavy in the combo chain. I would highly recommend getting off of immobilize. If you're good enough to beat this boss, then you don't need immobilize as a crutch anymore. For around the same mana cost, you get so much more out of ring of fire. It makes you nearly unkillable and buffs your heavies, and it heals you for a full health bar every cast. Especially for strong bosses, you sometimes only can get a few light attacks off per immobilize cast, and sometimes they break right through it, or you freeze them in the air. You really don't need to just sit in the circle, you just have a spot you know you can retreat to and charge a heavy

If you think thats lame then go ahead, but the fight is still extremely challenging even using this strategy. Im a seasoned Elden Ring/Souls player and this is the first fight in the game that truly challenged me. I’m sure other people will need similar means to beat this guy. It’s not the most flashy and cool fight but the point of the video is to show people how to effectively beat him. If you want to spend 3 hours trying to beat this mf in hand-to-hand combat then go for it!!
