Today I literally felt like a god with dives in warm-up but when it came down to a match a ball shot outside the box straight to me managed to slip through and I conceded 3 goals due to me not taking the risk to rush.

Hey buddy, it sounds to me like it's a problem with either your timing or you're not getting down far enough. You can obviously work on your timing, but your flexibility is also very important. Starting stretching out and doing mobility drills. This has helped me a lot.

how can you smother with the palm of your glove slide down on the floor without damage your gloves?

@@hungphu510 That's difficult. Don't think you can unless you have your fist closed which is not ideal. Especially when you're going for the block smother, you want to make yourself as large possible with one hand above your body and the other one sliding on the ground. Of you lift you lower hand, it's very easy for the ball to slip under if the striker takes a sudden shot
