As far as I understood from the video, shortly these things can be summarized: Learning around 9000 words, studying on 4 parts of english balancedly and learning chunks. This is very good interview in my opinion in order to be aware of intermediate plateau. Thanks for this great work. Also, I have some questions. 1) How should we study? How to read and read? 2) How many times we should study? What is the real time schedule and plan? 3) Sometimes some techniques take many times in an uncontrolled manner. As a result of this, language learners lose many times, and other daily plans can be over. Finally, they give up to learn. What is the solution? Maybe there are more questions but, I belive that's enough for now. I love your works, also appreciate your efforts for language learners and people who study for IELTS, duolingo like me. Keep going! :) ;) Note: I got 100 (b2) from duolingo :I I stuck at intermediate although I have been speaking English for long years :I I am definetelt at intermediate plateau.

Thanks for your comments. If you haven't done so already, it'd be a good idea to read Prof Nation's document, 'What Do you Need to Know to Learn a Foreign Language'. It has lots of useful advice. www.wgtn.ac.nz/lals/resources/paul-nations-resources/paul-nations-publications/publications/documents/foreign-language_1125.pdf I'll try to answer some of your questions, although I'm certainly not speaking as a professor of applied linguistics! 1) Try to get some enjoyment out of your language studies. When it comes to reading and listening in English, stick to topics that you're genuinely interested in. Try to find competent English speakers who share your beliefs, hobbies and inerests, and then take opportunities to speak and write to them. Ask people to correct you if you make mistakes. Also, investigate ways to improve your memorisation of new vocabulary. 2) I'm one of those people who finds it hard to stick to study schedules so I'm not a good person to ask about those kind of things. 3) A good question to ask yourself is, 'Why do I want to learn English?' People who want to learn it just to better job or to get into a good university are the ones most likely to give up. If you want to learn English in order to get to know people who speak that language, and you're interested in the culture of English-speaking countries, you're more likely to become a successful learner. Finally, don't be too hard on yourself. B2 is a good level - most people don't get there.

you can watch several videos of dr nation where he repeats mostly the same things 1)read and read to him is mostly graded readers until you can go to chosen level in native material 2) as I far as i don know he doesn care, he talks about real language programs 3) didnt understand the question note - duolingo is really not appropriate for higher levels

MountainS can be seen in the distance. 2) This is a picture of a colorful, tropical bird, which is standing on A wooden stick. 3) This action shot captures a FOOTBALL / AMERICAN FOOTBALL player IN the air, when he was runing FAST* with a ball on both of his hands. 4)This pictures depicts three friends who are looking AT A computer monitor and laughing loudly. They're probably collagues, and they could be IN their TEENS.** 5)It feature of a multitude pastel-coloured photo of a old street buildings, which are designed linear. * 'fast' is both an adjective and an adverb. ** I think they're a lot younger than thirty-something. 🙂
