Some of your stuff from BCA seems super cheap, I trade cars off it myself... do you go to no reserve no reports to gey any car sub 500 before fees unless no MOT or historyless! How/what manipulations do you put into search to find it? Presuming you do high volume proxy hoping to grab a bargain on one? Love the vids 👍👍

I usually avoid reports that have any liquid (oil or coolant) and any engine warning signs. So mainly a clean report or ones without a report that doesn't have any declarations of any issues. I then put loads of proxy bids in and hope I get something dead cheap. Leaves me with enough wiggle room in case anything goes wrong

Very informative video, I had a quick question. How do you judge a good price to list the car at especially before purchasing from auction, as some Facebook listings can be aggressively low😅?
@carsnstuffuk3 ай бұрын
@MultiWizzman thanks, much appreciated. I'd focus on autotrader prices if you're looking at selling at retail value. Facebook is full of scammers so it's very hard to compare prices

Hello i find your videos very interesting and useful, on a test vehicle you talk about, if the retail value of the car is £5000 at a used car dealer, considering i would be registering it in my name and it would be classified as a private sale what sort of asking price should i put the car up for sale at ? Thank you
@carsnstuffuk17 күн бұрын
@simonhoy4516 private sales are usually cheaper as you won't be providing warranty etc. Best thing to do would be to see what similar vehicles are being sold for and go from there

Thank you for replying, the only similar cars advertised on auto trader for the car i am thinking of buying are all from used car dealers ( the used car dealers have similar cars for sale at £5000 ), how much less as percentage or pounds price less should i put the asking price at ? Thank you i look forward to your next video

@simonhoy4516 I'm not too sure to be honest. Just put it up for a figure slightly higher than what you'd like so it leaves some wiggle room when the customer negotiates a price. Or, post on autotrader and if the car is less than 15 years old, it should give you a price they think it should be listed for - then it's your choice if you want to pay for the advert with autotrader afterwards. Just handy for the price listing

Great video. But one question I have is if someone wants to test drive the vehicle, Should I make them take out temporary cover insurance ?
@carsnstuffuk4 ай бұрын
Cheers. If you have trade insurance then make sure you have demo cover. If not, make sure they have fully comprehensive cover rather than fire and theft as that'll only cover the other car in an accident, not yours.

Thanks for the video. You didn't mention anything about legal aspects for example warranty and customer comebacks with problems arising after sale.
@carsnstuffuk5 ай бұрын
There's all sorts of companies you could use. However, I always give a "gentleman's agreement" so if anything goes wrong, they come back to me. Luckily they rarely bring anything back
