You can look like anyone. Bottom line, the recruiters are looking for a "certain something". Not everyone has "it" I'm not sure what it is. But I was hired as a mainline fa immediately. But the fa's work as a team and able to work on your own and be your own boss. And be able to handle any situation thrown your way. The recruiters know who they are looking for and hire them. Good luck!

@ajw_3153

Yes because your seniority will be at a point to where you can preference your schedule the way you want it. A lot of the more senior FA’s get 2-3 weeks off at a time because they get awarded what they bid for. They might work only at the beginning or end of each month and have the middle of month of, for example. Source : I’m a flight attendant

A great video. Thank you so much for the information. I have a question about the required height for a flight attendant. My height is 5’1”. That is only thing I worry about. Thank you so much ☺️

thank you for watching! and I am not positive about how they go about it but I do know a couple of flight attendants that have been hired that are above and below the height "requirement." so definitely still apply if you're interested 😊

EXCELLENT video ! I saw another video and she stated that you can be told to report to the airport but not be assigned a flight. Do you get paid for reporting . Reserve will receive days off every week?
@happylittlelife
@happylittlelife 10 ай бұрын
yes ma'am that's correct! you will receive hours for sitting at the airport even if you aren't used. & reserves get a minimum of 1 day off a week but could be more.

no schooling is needed as far as “flight attendant school” just apply online and they will give you a video interview if they are interested. they will teach you everything you need to know (: hope that helps

What is the training itself like? Like do they make you run a mile? I can handle almost all water activities and being timed to do emergency procedures. However Idk if I’d be able to handle running a mile jumping through obstacles and climbing rock walls. So if anybody knows the answer please let me know

So is it best to just not drink or go out when youre on call? I cant imagine being out or having had drinks somewhere and then get a call saying you have to work that day. Also is the pay different for mainline and regional?
@happylittlelife
@happylittlelife Жыл бұрын
yes its best to not to when on call because you can't drink a certain amount of hours before your shift but you can live your life (kinda) just have to be available 3 hours after they call.

hello! so I believe you can start using your benefits to an extent right away. and once a year you can change who all gets to fly using your benefits. its a few different options but contrary to popular belief you can't just hand benefits out like candy lol

So what I’m hearing is this career field sounds good for single people lol. Because if you have a family they can’t travel with you. How does it work if you have a husband and kids? Like I know you said it’s a monthly schedule.. so can you move your family to where your “home base” is? Like if your home base is Philadelphia… you may have to fly out of town/state or country for the days you’re scheduled to work.. is that how it works? And then on your off days you can come home?
@happylittlelife
@happylittlelife Жыл бұрын
it is great for single people but people with families also make it work.. I think the most important thing to remember is when you're needed at the airport, you need to be there. past that, your free time is yours. so if you want to pack your family up and move them, then by all means do that lol but if you want to live somewhere other than your base and just go to base on your work days, then do that. in the beginning is the hardest but once you get a line (a set schedule) then its a lot easier.
