As a young editor in a third world European country, this guy's interview gave me a lot of insight. It's interesting to see how you can resonate with people even though you're miles away. He does look like an actor too.

Bless you Hans and Richard! This deserves all the support. I started work as an assistant editor last year in NYC and have been loving the work. I hope to find my way into scripted work in the future so this video gives me confidence. I hope there's more of these types of interviews in the future.

Richard is one of the best teachers! I took his assistant editing course and leanred a ton from it. I can't wait to move to Atlanta and start finding AE gigs *fingers crossed*.

Il poster con "limpero colpisce ancora" dietro è TOP! By the way I'm an assistant editor too, in Italy 🤗

I love that you caught that! Those were done by this artists, Tim Anderson who combined Star Wars with Sergio Leone Westerns to create those. Two of my favorites!

I really enjoyed watching this! I'm currently working an internship for a TV production company in Atlanta and I've been getting on set PA experience, but I'm really working to break into post and work as an AE. Fingers crossed! Thanks for the video

Man this resonated so much with me!! So interesting how this conversation revolves around how you treat others instead of the technical steps you have to take to get where you want. In a world where people seem more and more fickle, it's important to remember how far being kind and genuine gets you! Thanks for facilitating this video Hans, and thank you Richard for imparting your wisdom.

Another way, if you want to be in editorial and don’t have any contacts the is to become a PA in that department. This goes for any field in film. There’s general PAs that kinda handle everything on a show but you want to try and get your way onto a specific department as a PA. Handle the PA job and let you intentions of being an AE/editor be known.

Very good point, Post-PA is a great start for aspiring AE's/Editors. Thanks for sharing, Brandon!
