But I am a prior service vet. So I’m hoping I’ll be able to get my foot in door in local 94. My boy told me got in as a helper starting at 44 an hour. I’m praying I can as well. You need to gain experience so apply for any job that would fall under handyman or hotel general mechanic. It took me nearly a year to secure a job because of the same issue. I went and applied to a non union hotel and they hired me. Continued applying and about 6 months later I landed the job.

Yes. The universal technician. Section 608 of the Federal Clean Air Act requires that all persons who maintain, service, repair or dispose of appliances that contain ozone depleting refrigerants be certified in proper refrigerant handling techniques.

Greed on life, do you think it’s still possible to get into local 94 as an engineer in 2024? I know you said a lot of folks left because of Covid. Please let me know. I’m in the process of racking up cof’s right now. I’m an flsd and I’ve been a guard like you too bro . Please help me out with some guidance. Every engineer from 94 I speak to says the same thing to me “ I have to know someone” in order to get in. I don’t know anyone, can you let me know if it’s still worth it to apply bro , or if I could maybe use you as a reference or something?
@Greedonlife9 ай бұрын
That’s somewhat true. It’s because you will need experience usually to get in. Best bet is to do an apprenticeship so that you are already in the union. Otherwise, you have to work your way up through the hotels and small buildings first then you can qualify after 5 years or so for 94 commercial jobs

@@photographyisbeautiful9409 turner is a great choice. I did it with them. With 32bj it was going to take forever and turner is always ahead of the curve. As far as experience, even if it's part time, try working with tools, at an hvac company or a handyman company. If you can work with a building super , do it.
