Forgetting about the great information, you're a very enjoyable personality. Your calm humility is a refreshing presentation in this medium (the one of passing information online). I can understand why audiences would enjoy you.

Great video! Looping has saved me, especially when I lost my voice a few months ago at a gig. Just having that ability to loop a rhythm and solo over it is helpful and also gives the audience a different dynamic. As of now, I’m using the Ditto X4 (I need to learn it better…I only use it for the simple looping I mentioned). I’d like to connect a mic to add a little percussion to certain songs, so that’s the next step. On that note, I’m probably going to upgrade to one of the RC loopers. That dedicated stop is crucial for me! The Ditto X4 has it but it stops everything.

This is absolute gold advice. I am a great believer in keeping things simple. Too many effects etc can lead to option paralysis, by limiting your palette you will be more productive and inventive. Only add what is essential.

To go simple as possible I purchased a Boss Cube street it has a simple looper that is foot pedal controlled plug mic and guitar in and hit the street.

I once bought one to use while living in southern Spain for a few months. The police came to tell me that if they saw me busking again they would confiscate both the amp and the guitar… oops

Great video Andres! I too am a live-looping artist, from Pennsylvania (US), who use a Godin A6 Ultra model as my main guitar. I currently use the RC-30 for all my loops but I've been thinking to upgrade to the RC-50.

your a great musician with a amazing setup..that Godin guitar is gold. Got introduced with the Boss RC505 Mk2 because of Marc Rebillet but when I found your channel I got convinced this could be something for me. Its a lot of money, and even though I wont come close to what you do you it inspires me to try it out. Thanks a lot for the advice.

Hey hermano- do you use the F5-6 foot switch with the 505 when you’re playing guitar? Or do you find that it quantizes well enough that you can always use your hands, like in the set in the video? If so, what do you use the F5-6 foot switch for?

They key is to find songs that are loop friendly, preferably the same chords for the song and verse

wow! i do the same now. I used to play in bands, now beside that I mostly play solo, sings and play guitar (I have even posted videos on my channel). Today is my first day watcing many many videos by looping artists. I must say I am NOT into Ed Sheeran. I still ask the question, how loopers can sing sings that have muultiple structures like verse, chorus, bridge, etc. I have watched a few of your videos. it is inspiring. Perhaps I will consider trying out looper. But I still want to be able to sing songs with NOT just one set of chords, but mutiples, just like REAL songs that we used to have in he real music music days. Once again, thank you Sir! you are awesome!

Well, actually you are using the same brand looper as my favourite because as you explain and ..... I have been working for the distributor here in Indonesia since early 1990 (",). And I hope you won't mind if I share your video and channel as you may have the best explained one for others whom may learn from you. I think if you add the 600 series of Boss Looper with foot based, well with hand based you already own - amazing. Love your playing reminding me to my Hispanic musician friends. Latin music as always has somewhat hidden energy in the music. Cheers! Sorry don't know why no Thumb Up menu I could click here, only thumb down and only crazy unmusically people giving you that clicks. Please your apology.
