I'm so glad I discovered your videos. Thanks so much for posting these great videos on children's magic. You could charge good money for some of the things you have shared. I totally agree you should join a magic group and get along to guest lectures or perform on nights when they give you the opportunity. What helped me the most in getting a good show ready- David Kaye (Silly Billy) - his books and DVD's are fantastic. also joining KEA (Kids Entertainer Academy) and work through Julian Mathers material will get you moving forward. When I was a kid, there was man called Preacher Bill, and his show was called The Dummy In The Middle. He was a great magician, and ventriloquist; But he combined it with his career as a moble Preacher. He inspired me to persue the field of education through inertainment.

Very good advice! if I could also add , Never rush through an effect, it always looks like you are nervous and unconfident about your skill. And that you are really looking more forward to doing the NEXT trick instead of giving proper attention to performance of the performance at hand. Let your Audience take in what is being presented to them, Its more magical and will leave a longer impression on them.

WRONG Practicing in front of a mirror will help you get a view from your spectator’s perspective. WRONG to have the spectator's perspective you have to put a recording camera on a tripod ( spectator's eye level) and practice as if it didn't exist and then re-watch yourself and take note. the mirror has MORE DISADVANTAGES THEN ADVANTAGES while practicing
