@@itsme-qc8mn ...Who are you to assume that he doesn't have faith? Catholics believe faith and works go hand in hand. Protestants split from the Catholic Church, so it's ridiculous to say that Catholics aren't Christian. Catholics adhere to the Niceane Creed. Therefore, they are Christians. How can you say "a Catholic is not my brother"?

I'll second everything in this video. I've been on this grind for almost two years since I got saved in 2022 and for anyone just starting out, a few recommendations. 1. Accountability. Jack mentions having a small group of guys in this video and I would recommend connecting that group into your other habits. Check in with each other on your bible reading, your family, your fitness, sin struggles, etc. My group meets saturday mornings for coffee. 2. Serving. Part of our role as leaders in the church is to be actually serving. Start small if you're new, then build up to greater roles. Every service post is valuable and necessary to the kingdom. I started as an usher at my church, now I'm starting to lead a small group of middle schoolers. This also keeps you accountable for actually being present. 3. Giving. It's important that in your finances, you budget for giving to your church. Not because you expect material prosperity in return, but because you love the church, Christ's bride on earth, and want to provide for her. 4. Bible reading. If you've never read the Bible before, start by reading the book of John, then Romans, then get on a plan that gives you some OT and some NT every day. It's also good to be on the same chapters as other people so you can talk about what you're reading, especially in regards to difficult passages.

1. *Faith:* - *Reading the Bible:* Well, I try to read the Bible everyday, I'm using The Bible In a Year Podcast and also reading the daily Bible readings of the lectionary. But I can't focus well because of my ADHD, sometimes I don't even understand what it says because it's so antique language, even if it's translated with modern langauge. Also, sometimes I fall asleep. - *Community and Church:* I only attend church on Sundays, and I feel I force my parents to come, but no one in my family is christian, only one cousin and we aren't from the same type of church, well in reality she has doubts. And I have no friends since a lot of time ago. - *Prayer Life:* If we don't count meals, waking up or going to bed. The only time I'm sincere with God is when I have problems, also, Idk how to talk to a being that knows everything, and why bother by intercession with the saints if God is all powerful. I only talk to God at night, because that is when I'm more awake. Honeslty, I'm not even very open with my family since I'm introvert. Also, since we call God father, I just can't picture God as something friendly and loving, I picture it as a serious and dictating ruler, even though God is not. It's weird, because I'm more open to grown up women I know, when it's with men is weird. And people of my age just makes me uncomfortable. 2. *Family and Friends:* - *Leadership in Marriage:* I can't even lead myself, how can I lead others. I'm a paradox between wanting control and freedom, and procrationation is everywhere. ADHD and ASD are a curse. - *Vocal About Faith:* Honeslty, since I'm very insecure, I don't know how to talk about it, I don't even talk it properly with my parents. How can I trust telling something that I'm not even sure 100%. 3. *Finances:* - *Live Below Your Means:* I already do, and honestly, I'm a little like Scrooge, thinking about the money and saving and likely never spending it because he's going to lose it soon, and when I spend it in things I want, I feel bad because I feel selfish and that I don't deserve what I have. - *Investing:* I don't know nothing, - *Generosity:* That's something I'm always good, the problem is with people I don't know. 4. *Fitness:* - *Health as a Gift:* I Acknowledge it. But sometimes I feel miserable. - *Physical Fitness for Leadership:* I use FarFromWeak's training program. It works. My problem is more in lust. Even though I know the evil, sometimes I feel like I have 2 personalities that can't control the good one.

Thank you for this video. Recently turned to Christianity and emailed my local church. Fr Anthony was extremely friendly and welcoming inviting me to the church for a chat and a look around. He very kindly passed me a bible which I have started reading. Something I need to do daily!!! I remember in Afghanistan I was gifted a small cross on a dog tag by our Army Padre. It’s the only time I have worn a cross and after an ancient where my comrades thought I was killed I walked away without a scratch. I stopped wearing this cross on my return to the uk. Unfortunately my mental health took a very bad turn. It’s taken me 14 years to be in a position I became happy again. I don’t know why but I felt a pull back to wearing a cross and a strange pull towards Christianity recently. I must admit that since wearing a cross I my self have felt a calm coke over me, physically and spiritually. I have a very long path to follow but yet a feeling of calm for the journey. I hope I can lead my life far better than I have and find my path. 🙏🏼

About having friends, I feel like so many people put a lot of emphasis on having friends that are also male, or female if that's what you are. They say it's super important that if you're a man you should have a group of male friends to help support you, and the same is true for women. I know people aren't necessarily saying this, but it feels like the implication is that you shouldn't talk about your problems to the opposite sex. Like, it's some kind of none spoken taboo. Now, I should mention I'm very neural divergent, so a lot of things like this apply differently to me, if they apply at all, so maybe what I'm about to say would totally not work for normal people, but I think it's more than okay to talk to the opposite sex about your life and problems if that seems like the best option. You don't HAVE to do things the way everyone says it SHOULD be done. (Note that sentence cannot be applied to all issues of life but I trust you have the wisdom to know what I mean.) I had a very unhealthy abusive relationship with my dad, and that has made it very difficult to talk to other people about my problems if those people aren't female. I don't think I ever would have gotten to the point where I am now where I can talk about my problems with my male friends if I didn't have that starting point. One catch though, you should probably be careful about this. I'm not saying there are some things you absolutely cannot talk about under any circumstances, but there are certain things you should be careful about, like say, lust related temptations, but again, that's not to say it can't be done in an unsinful and healthy way. I'm mostly saying this for any one out like me who's reading this. If you have something you really need to talk to someone about, well, first of all if you haven't already you can talk to God about it, but if you need to talk to someone else too, it's okay to talk to someone of the opposite sex. Talk to who you need to talk to.

6:57 Another two reasons why fitness is important is because God asked you to because your boy is like a temple and a place for god so it should be kept in good condition. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 "Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies." That and because having a good appearance is standard =ds and if you aspire to find a wife or a girlfriend, that is also important because some women will appreciate that. If you are looking for a wife or girlfriend, by the way, I will edit this comment to some KZbin videos that will help you find one the right way,

@AristotelianEpistemophilic9 ай бұрын
Explain your opposition to the sin. Don't just say "that's bad because God said so." That won't convince people who don't care about God. God is the creator of all things, and sin is an act against God. As such, sin has negative consequences that you can observe on God's creation. It's bad for observable reasons.
