You must give your life to God but carry jesus teachings in your heart. I quit smoking marijuana 30 days ago and today has been probably the worst day I’ve had so far. But throughout my busy day I felt God saying “ these are just feelings, they too shall pass “ So much power in what we think about friends! If you can retrain your brain to think positively, then you’ve put yourself on the path of victory! Thank you, Pastor, for these sermons in particular. When it’s late at night and I’m worn from the day- I can turn one of your sermons on and I’m back at the throne, sitting with Abba. Never think your words don’t matter! I pray all the time for the Lord to renew my mind. To break my heart for what breaks His heart. To love others the way He loves.

I had to give it all to God and say “ look, I can’t do this on my own. “ I can remember praying for the ability to quit even while I was in the middle of smoking. I would cry out to God as I was inhaling the smoke… We can not depend on our own human abilities, we have to ask for help. Admitting that we are weak makes our reliance on God that much stronger. One day I just had enough, much like you said. I finally grew to the point of disgust with myself and my habit. I didn’t want to waste anymore time in the negative anymore either. Just keep praying and the Lord will help you. Isaiah 26:3 You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. Day #96!

Hi Diana, I too am going through this for about the past month. It’s been awful. My head full of lies from the enemy. Telling me I’m not good enough, I’ll never be well, it’s a terrible time to be alive, I’m letting everyone down. I’ve had to change several things/habits lately that seems to be helping. I don’t watch the news, I’m using a sun lamp (light therapy lamp) b/c I love where it’s been gloomy & cold for weeks straight. The first thing I do in the morning is open my Bible app for the verse of the day, then I search on a good word on KZbin. Lately that being this series. Nutrition is important too. I’ve been taking a good multivitamin & omega 3s. I really feel for you, but Im starting to see the silver lining. Im praying for you as well as others struggling.

God knew I needed this message today. I live in chronic pain, rarely sleep, take care of boys alone so yea...you could say that I struggle with negative thoughts. When you wake up in bad pain after only sleeping 3 hrs & you know it'll be the same day after day, it can be hard for my inner dialog to be positive. It's something I'm working on. Lord. Why do we pray if everything happens for a reason? It’s like we judge God and then ask God to change his mind about what God is doing to us, we judge everything and everyone every time we speak correct? That would be u judging me if you agree or disagree You aren’t the judges yet you judge every time you speak choosing one word over the other in a positive or negative manner yet we still choose to have bias opinions, opinions and options are closely worded because we have options in our opinion. If we could look at the cup half full every time we think then what’s to say you can’t have everlasting happiness? Agree with me and I’ll call you a follower not a leader, disagree with me and I’ll say you’re a narcissistic hypocrite, a hypocrite for disagreeing with me because you wouldn’t want random people disagreeing with you yet you disagree with me which makes you a hypocrite. I can make you wrong either way you go with any conversation you can think of or I can make you right for the same things, agree with me and it shows me that you have an understanding of communication and it makes you a leader in my eyes, always a zillion words that could be said about any conversation you can think of. Basically everything you need is inside of you already, how does God hear your prayers? Maybe because God is inside of you helping you think, God doesn’t fight any crime because everything has God, we are tested by God every time we think, God controls everything bad and good that happens to you not some man made devil

I could not get out of bed yesterday morning because of depression and hopelessness, I thought. It seems I am overwhelmed with responsibility of family and lost my health and job. Jesus has, since yesterday, sent me message upon message, person upon person, blessing upon blessing and now this mind-blowing message. I now am reminded: my neural pathways truly suck. They suck the life out of me. I need to get back into the word and back around people who are in the word. Thank you, Pastor Steven, for obeying Christ and letting Him work through you.
