Bravo, Andrea! I had to travel home earlier so I couldn't taste this amazing cocktail. Luckily we recreated it and it's amazing!

A tip to elevate the tea cordial even more is to open up the tea first quickly with hot water and toss the liquid and then brew as it will enhance the flavours and remove any off flavours. Honestly I think I would just Gongfu brew the entire ammount as it's quicker and brings out the flavours much more.

This might seem like an odd question, but is there a single place to find the ideal temperature of water for brewing different types of tea? I realize that there are a multitude of teas out there, but I have read that it’s possible to heat water too much for a type of tea. Does the same apply to all or is it specific to the tea? Again I may use this as a template to make a green tea cordial

Have you tried just under the boil?
@KevinKos2 күн бұрын
Usually, the tea provider lists the ideal brewing temperature on the package. Green tea is typically more delicate, so it requires less hot water than other types of tea. Additionally, there is a lot of information available online about the best temperature for brewing different kinds of tea.

Black tea is most often just below boiling, around 95C. Green, yellow and white tea most often 80-85 C. If it's purely a herbal infusion it's usually also just below boiling

Aren't green beans raw poisonous?
@KevinKos2 күн бұрын
Hi! Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I found that lectins are more prevalent in kidney beans, so consuming a small amount of green beans shouldn't be a problem. This is similar to bittering agents; they are toxic in large quantities, yet we still use them in amaros and bitters. The same applies to alcohol in general. If you want to be extra cautious, you can cook the beans before making liqueur from them.
