Have you ever wondered how to become a millionaire? Serial entrepreneur Todd Johnson knows the answer first-hand. In this interview, he spills his secrets not only on how to make a million dollars but also how to build on that and achieve true financial freedom.
This video has been sponsored by Stash. Sign-up to redeem your $25 bonus here, T&C’s apply: bit.ly/3VDaYfe
Both in Los Angeles and on KZbin, Todd is known for his impressive car collection and luxurious lifestyle, so it may surprise people to learn he didn’t come from a wealthy background. Todd learned the value of a strong work ethic and how to hustle from an early age. He started working as a teenager, first doing yard work then taking a job in a kitchen that let him make enough to buy his first car at 14.
Starting a business? Use elevate.store to save up to $1600: www.elevate.store/upflip/3
He has maintained that drive for success into adulthood, taking night classes that taught him to build and sell computers while he was in the Air Force. It didn’t take long for him to branch out into other industries, and in the years since he’s built multiple sustainable, profitable businesses, including one of the fastest-growing IT companies in the world.
Of course, Todd will be the first to tell you there are a lot of pitfalls on the path to becoming a millionaire. We’ll hear about the mistakes he’s made, what he learned from them, and how he pushes through challenges and setbacks. He’ll also talk about how to set improvement goals and cultivate the right mindset for success, along with sharing other tools and strategies that have helped him unlock his full potential.
Whatever industry or stage of your career you’re in, Todd’s advice can help you to push it to the next level! Make sure to check out these other videos for more advice on how to scale profits and revenue:

I've been painting for 18 years I'm a second generation painter I'm going to business for myself this spring, what can I do to build my brand better? I know this falls on to the ethert ears, but that would be cool if I got an answer

To answer the question at 30:56 I think the skill that self made millionaires all have in common is the ability to be calm, cool, and collected during down turns. My father started his business at 26 years old and never worked for anyone his entire professional life. He made a lot of money but he also lost a lot of money. But during those times of losses I noticed he was the same guy when he lost money and the same guy when he made money. He was always cool, calm, and collected. I also think successful people accept failure. Not to say they aren't afraid to fail, everyone is scared to fail, but they understand that thats part of business. Every time my father failed he never thought of quitting or thinking this isnt for him. He hated losing, but his desire to win and turn it around was greater than quitting. He always got up, accepted the mistake, and focused on turning it around and he ALWAYS did. Even if it took a long time.

i have recently started a business, this business is growing but at the moment it is eating up a lot of my money. my dad tells me he cannot bare the losses i am going through and asks me, how can you be so calm all the time. in reality there are times when my throat dries up instantly, my mind is stuck in one thought and I feel like i am drowning. so I spoke to a friend and mentor of mine who is also a Dr and runs a wildly successful business now. he told me hold on, this happens to all entrepreneurs. if it was easy peasy, every tom dick and harry would be doing it.

@@evrenkonak I learned wealth lasts 3-4 generations. The first generation was poor and started with nothing and built something. The second generation saw the sacrifice they did and built on top of that. The third generation more or less has been born into money. The 4th will blow it away since they didnt know the hardship it took to get them where they're at. I am the second generation. The reason I said my comment is because I saw what my dad did and I am so grateful for him and I am taking over the business myself. Look at the Hilton family. They have generational wealth but the actual family working in the business ends with Paris Hilton. Shes like 3rd or 4th generation and doesnt give af about the family business.

That's Beautiful, don't chase the love of money that's a trap of the Deciever👹💰🎪🔍🤔🤨 Focus on the types of idea's and strategies that you have strength in the use those for success while expanding out of your comfort zone.. This will give you the ways to not only help but build your Family Success based on your focus towards the goals. Build with your Foundation upon The Rock of your Creator, The Holy One Yeshua, Emmanuel ( Means God is with Us) * Not Man-Made Religion, that's a check in the box system created by man.. I mean The Lord Jesus Christ..Alone!!! He is The Living God and you as His Creation is all about a personal relationship, not another human or dumb statues.. Your Creator📕🔍🧐👋🙏💪☝️👍 Talk with Him, In Obedience and Faith He listens to His Children🕊️ There are people with money, yet they are empty, some lonely and trying to fill that void with Temporary Materialistic Garbage.. Because they didn't know of or have the Foundation of The Lord.. When we talk it's hard for many because they never were told, have a difficult time finding Faith or Confuse Religion with The Truth of their Creator.. Even Jesus when here in the flesh tried to tell politicians and the wealthy how much the Riches in Eternal Life with The Father was more valuable.. Love The Father and Love.. Treat other's how you want to be treated🤷‍♂️ I know friends and family with Degrees from College that are clueless and some that are successful, Some that just took certification courses that to put tool's in their tool box and are very successful, worked invested and are doing great. * Hope this helps vice having to spend money on books.. Take care Remain Mentally, Physically and most of all Spiritually Strong on The Rock, your Foundation.. He knew you before you were formed in the womb😎✊

Do not limit yourself. God made you limitless. You can help others as you are living in a nice mansion filled with God’s grace, love, and blessings on your life. Wow I really needed to hear all this solid pieces of advice. This guy is definitely dropping gems. Love it. I was looking for some inspiration, and now that I'm inspired, I know for a fact that I can keep at it. The key to success is building an automated system that can make you successful even when youre not running your business. He also said you should be passionate about why you're doing something, not about whatever it is your doing. You'll eventually get inspired to do more once people tell you "man you're doing an amazing job, keep it up". Even if it might seem a bit of a let down at first, just keep at it. The moment you start making progress is when you're gonna get passionate about your stuff. Super nice video as always. Lots of quotes I loved from this guy that I'm gonna write down on my diary.

Hi Upflip thanks for this amazing video and many thanks to TJ for taking his Time to explain all this information, for someone that can Analyse behind the scenes or all the unspoken things they can easily get all the answers of being a millionaire and building and running and acquiring a business. TJ I have learned a lot from you and I like the way you responded to every questions. You trigger some burning desire in me in a very positive way with the words of Ambition „can do“ “will do” “the part am on is the right part” you already get it right. But at this point I feel really connected to all that you were saying and I feel we both might have the same concept and I really appreciate all this fruitful information. I wish I could meet TJ in person men. If you guys at UPFLIP could make that possible that would be great. This channel is my one stop shop from now on.

Wow inspiring life story. I m glad you have a photo of your child-hood, I wonder if any people who lived in my village have any photos of me. I am trying, I dont carry water from the river anymore, no candles, I have changed my mattresses in house, no plastic shoes anymore that smash the toes. I have a long way to go, but I am focussed, just got to do.

Man, this dude is sharp. Pheww... just finished watching at 1.5x - great interview. One thing I wish, Todd didn't have Cuban "right" habit. One part of the video that stood out to me was "...just about average" snippet around 21:00 thru 32:00 … and of course 35:16 😂

It takes money to make money but the only thing you have to understand it's that you need to sacrifice and grind hard with no expectation in mind. Just discipline. That dude was in the army so he know that it's only daily discipline that take you to that level.
