Its also crazy as a fully qualified Dr or surgeon would take between 2 and 5 years to earn what a strongman earns and they do something which is actually worthwhile in the scheme of things

And if you DON'T WIN, that figure plummets even more. Moral of the Story: the guys get into this because they love it, not to get rich. That being said, if you're a young competitor coming up and you want to make good money and provide your family, concentrate on being entertaining, likable, and creating enough content to generate a following to attract good sponsorships and market yourself.

@@grimnir9274 I don't disagree, but it is the world we live in. And it's only magnified when you're a professional athlete in a very niche sport. I love strength sports more than anything else on earth, but the majority of people don't care. So, you have to market yourself to those who do.

All the hard work put in by the guys to get to these competitions the winnings are tiny . Sponsorship from big companies to start being looked at. I find its quite expensive to watch especially when your on low income. I think sometimes the Strongman promotion is too inward. Ived watched it since was a kid and im 50 now so Ive seen how its grown very very slowly. Why dont they have a Strongman Leagues in each country so that can be used as a step up to the bigger Strongman events . A tv channel on satellite set at a low subscription so people can keep up with whats going on around the world. The bottom end of Strongman needs sorting out.I know money plays a part in getting set up but it needs looking into.

If mr. olympia and arnold can cough up 500 and 600k for top bodybuilding place, these strongman shows should be able to squeeze out at least 200k per win. This is at least equally hard work.
@BulkBrogan.Ай бұрын
Brian Shaw really seems to be paying as much as possible while still being able to run a business so SMOE is good, Rogue Invitational does profit sharing including bonuses on merch sales at the event so they're probably paying as much as they can for that, Arnold's biggest event is now the strongman so they should be paying 100k+ really for such a massive event, and for sure the most lame is World's strongest man they make multi millions across their global TV deals so they really should pay something crazy like 200-300k if they paid a percentage of profits the same way Rogue Invitational and SMOE do it'd probably be like 700k but they are a corporate business so to account for them being a bit greedier and having more people to pay they should be around $200k But also it's way higher than years previous and all food and travel expenses are paid for for all athletes So there is a degree of gratitude that we should have because it's that much better than it used to be and is continuing to be better every year
