I just did my first Project 333/Capsule Wardrobe and I'm loving it! It's so shocking how little clothes you really need. I made $80 selling some old clothes and then I took that money straight to the American Apparel 40% off/going out of business sale to buy a nice pair of jeans and shorts (the denim is so think I love it!) and I just feel so much happier having a couple higher quality items in my wardrobe that I can wear over and over without wearing down the fabric.

This is so inspiring! I recently realized my dream of moving abroad and studying a foreign language/literature and translation. I have made savings goals and now as I see my savings increase I get excited, though I work at a bookstore, so my ultimate goal at the moment is to not buy books anymore and only check out library books.

I've only been into minimalism for a week, and already I have so much free time, almost to where I don't really know what to do with myself. I still have more to do, and more to get rid of, but already I'm feeling pretty great! It's really hard for me to get rid of things still, and I'm still trying to adapt the minimalist mindset, but I'm getting there.

OMG I KNOW THE STRUGGLE. When I first went minimalist I was like... "what do I do with all this free time?" It's a great feeling to have and having that free time is what allowed me to really dig into myself and realize how many things I wanted to learn about! Since going minimalist, I've learned how to build websites, I've started a youtube channel, I'm learning about photography, I've read soooo many books and learnt so much more about psychology/communication, and I've created some insanely amazing deep relationships. I had no idea what would come out of minimalism before I started but these are the best results I've ever had from anything haha :) You can do it! Good luck

I got started in Minimalism by reading "A Simple Year" Blog where this woman tried to buy nothing new for 1 year , and through reading that I found the Minimalists Website , then saw their TedTalk and became inspired. I still have a lot of stuff but I've probably gotten rid of %30 but most importantly I have not brought much new stuff in. I also really like the KonMarie Method so I have stuff but its only stuff I really love.

Hello I like your videos. The idea of minimalism is very appealing. I think the videos would come across better if you slowed down when you were talking. Keep talking by all means, just a little slower please :)

I've been trying to declutter my house for well over a year now. A lot of things have gone, but I still feel like I have too much. I tried to adopt a rule like 'for every object that enters the house, two objects leave'. It works a little, but it's hard to maintain focus. One of the hardest parts for me to deal with is: presents, gifts etc. Some people just love to give you stuff... How do you deal with that?
@AmandaRoundtheGlobe7 жыл бұрын
I tell people to please not get me gifts. I tell them that if I need anything I'll let them know, or if they really want to get me something I tell them that they can get me a gift card to the grocery store or something that I will use up. This is a great topic, maybe I'll make a separate video about it :)

I've recently quit coffee (which I think was to blame for the really quick speaking haha) so from now on my videos will be much more chilled/relaxed :)
