Losing a round or a match is a great learning experience. Especially if you watch the replay later and think about what you can do differently when you’re in the same or a similar situation. Then next time you will be more confident because you know what to do

@@dielit300 Even if you don’t know what’s the best strategy in a situation (I for sure don’t), you can still see in the replay how you got killed and go from there. Check that corner next time, don’t be exposed to multiple angles, improve crosshair placement, things like that.

My best days are the days where I play competitive the exact same way I would play unrated. Because at the end of the day, both competitive and unrated have hidden MMR and SBMM, and you're usually getting placed with people of similar skill, so really, all competitive is, is unrated with a little logo next to everyone's name and people are trying harder. I learned from an early age playing traditional sports and now esports that both are much more of a mental game than a physical one. Sure, in basketball for example you need to have some sort of physical ability to pass, dribble, shoot, and play defense; just like in Valorant you have to have some sort of ability to flick, have good crosshair placement, know how and when to peek certain angles, etc. But what happens when you're at a point where everyone knows how to do that, such as when you're on a varsity basketball team or in this case a high rank in Valorant? Then, it's the mental game that separates the metaphorical bench warmers from the starters and number one options. At the end of the day, there are no real stakes, so getting upset just isn't worth it. The only thing frustration and not being confident enough leads to is poor decision making and playing worse overall and of course that just leads to you getting even more upset and continuing the downward mental spiral. The second I start to tilt and stop having fun, I just boot up a new game.

its a personal preference, or its based on your eye dominance. since i am right eye dominated, i find that having it on the left side is more comfortable and gives me more space on my screen. But its up to you and which one you find helps more.

I'm generally confident to make plays, but whenever I get into a situation where I get aim diffed and lose almost all of my gunfights, I start to play really scared and give up map control which makes the whole situation even worse as it causes the team to get flanked or pinched, how do I regain confidence in those situations?

Everyone is pretty confident in everything, cuz maybe someone's good in aim, some in game sense, but getting one tapped once or twice a row or just losing to one enemy at all times tilts the mind too much. if suppose I didn't knew that jett already killed me like 10 times, I could prolly easily clutch that round but the tilt overlays the confidence it sucks.
