98% of Phd professors may be good in research but they can't even teach a basic concept to Bsc student. Not all students do Phd after Msc. So, its pointless to allow only Phd candidates for teaching jobs in Any colleges. Msc candidate is much better than them if we compare teaching skills.

Not just Btech. IITs are having other streams as well like humanities, management courses,etc. which may not require Btech as graduation. But for job as a professor,PHD is must with good research papers.

If Teachers are paid highest most fields civil ,medical,banking services will be left empty.Teachers should not be paid highest because becoming teachers (with few exceptions of higher studies) is not as taugh as those banking civil or medical.
