Well this is discouraging. Signed up for career foundry a few months ago hoping to eventually get remote work, after hearing how scarce the market is in kind of regretting this decision.

So sorry to hear you find this discouraging, definitely wasn't my intention. There are remote jobs out there but they are typically for more established designers. Once you get past those first 2 or so years of experience, you'll start seeing more remote opportunities that you qualify for. Do what feels right for you, but if not being able to work completely remotely off the bat is a deal breaker then you have to make that choice for yourself. I'd suggest looking on LinkedIn/Indeed/Google Jobs and checking out the market for yourself. Best of luck in your journey!
