The need for CFO Services varies by the business, some indicators are (1) the business needs assistance with financing, acquiring another business, or developing an exit strategy, (2) the owners have the intention and opportunity to scale and may not know how to do so, and (3) the owners are in need of higher-level advisory services to better understand their business and make strategic decisions. This could include start-ups with large amounts of investment capital.

Designers/Creatives sounds like a wonderful niche! If your focus is providing CFO Services, I’d suggest some research to see “who” within that niche has need of the aforementioned services!

Virtual CFO services can be offered by anyone regardless of level of education and/or licenses (ie: CPA, EA CFP, etc.). Jump into the Certifyible course and get started! Then continuously read, study, and learn about Virtual CFO services, take additional courses, "geek out" on your niche and enjoy your career. Once you get started, you may want to pursue licenses as an EA (enrolled agent), AIPB (American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers) and/or the NACP (National Association of Certified Public Bookkeepers). You may also want to look into becoming ProAdvisor for one or more accounting software like QuickBooks, Xero and Accounting Suite (among others). I hope this helps
