Step 0: Ask yourself if you're doing it exclusively for money or fame; if "yes" to either: DON'T BECOME A V-TUBER! Step 1: Have an amicable personality. Step 2: Create an original, interesting avatar to embody. Step 3: Learn to manipulate people's emotions (sounds creepy, but it's true). Step 4: Lean into the memes. Step 5: AVOID DRAMA
@lordzaboem4 жыл бұрын
This is very well thought-out info. It's good enough that you might expand it into a full article. Then you could expand on some parts -- like the difference between getting a contract and getting receipts. You could talk about why memes are useful because it's deeper than just the obvious. I bet that a few websites would be interested in buying that article off you. If it finds an audience, expand it more into a short book.

I feel like it's always important to first figure out & decide if you even enjoy streaming or content creation, cuz otherwise you'll just be living your own personal hell. The best way to figure that out is by doing it as a hobby first. Experiment, learn about the platforms & the software you're gonna be using, & try to have fun. Spend as little money as you can - that way if it doesn't work out, at least you wouldn't have wasted a bunch of money. You can definitely pull this off relatively for free nowadays. All you need is a computer with a webcam & some sort of mic, and/or a smart phone that has face tracking. Remember, Ironmouse used her earbuds as her mic during her early days. You don't need super fancy or expensive shit to make it work. Also, don't expect to instantly go viral & become successful overnight. Not even within the first couple of months. Don't stress too much over the numbers when you're just starting out. Shit takes time. It took Mousy 3 years to get 50+ consecutive viewers, so don't beat yourself up over it. As for content creation...the way I see it, the best way to make quality stuff is by making things you'd enjoy yourself. Make the type of content that you'd like to see as a viewer. Even if you don't have any viewers, just act like they're there (makes for good practice anyway). Better yet, just hide the viewer count entirely & just focus on whatever it is you're doing. It may feel a bit cringy & weird to be talking to yourself, but at least you won't be caught doing nothing when someone eventually does come by. And finally...remember to have fun! Don't force yourself to do or say things - not only would that be miserable for you, but your audience WILL notice! Even if you're good at acting, you can't keep that shit up forever. If you're not having fun or enjoying yourself, then maybe it just isn't for you (and that's ok!).

I wonder why 2D is more expensive. You would think that 3D would require more rigging which would drive up the cost.
@setomie9964 жыл бұрын
2D requires artists to draw each individual piece in a sprite-like sheet, like hair and tails. If theres an error in the drawing, that piece needs to be redraw. If you watch Live2D videos, you'll see that rigging is quite tedious.
@suprtroopr10284 жыл бұрын
@@setomie996 this. The rigging for anything live2d terrifies me just looking at it. The finished work results in honesty impressive real time animation for what it is, however. It's small wonder why, on average, it's the more common choice.

@ThatMikeYouTube4 жыл бұрын
Night Phoenix let’s say she didn’t become a VTuber in the year 2017. Doesn’t matter. She has broadcasts and videos on Twitch from last year, and with an older design. She’s gone through 3 rebrands under the same name, all the while using 2D VTuber tech. She is NOT starting out. This year is ending and that would mean she’s at least gone through one year of VTubering. Kizuna Ai started this shit LATE 2016, which means Ironmouse has been VTubering for at least 1/6 to 1/4 of the entire time VTubering has been a thing. 99++% of all NBA players don’t even play pro for half that fraction of the game’s history. EDIT: I did the math. Half of 1/4 or 1/6 is definitely wrong. 1/6 is basically right. Where are you getting your information from?
