I love the idea of acting, I get really excited thinking about scenes I could imagine myself in, and different roles I could play but the scariest thing for me, completely, is other people. There’s both positive or negative way to look at this but view how you want; not a lot of actors makes it big in the sense of fame. Or some good actors have a few fans but aren’t recognised often. I understand your worry but I believe you will get through it, acting is also a journey and if you love doing it hopefully those concerns will bother you less and less as you progress! I wish you luck! 🧡

Thought I'd give some advice here so I spoke to my friend who is a UK actor who has done it for 19 years, he is really quite successful and who I have worked with as a production assistant several times. Here are his 3 tips.... 1) Get some professional training. Even if your the best natural actor in the world this shows your dedicated and will hone those skills. It will also teach you certain phrases you will hear on set and then you won't have to ask what they mean. 2) DO NOT under any circumstances mention social media in an audition. Casting directors hate it. They don't care how many followers you have and if you share everything on social media they may not want to let you see the script or be around any big names. 3) Be realistic and manage your expectations. Your never guaranteed your next acting role. 97% of actors either work or have worked regular jobs. Even some bigger names go back to regular jobs, you just don't hear about it much. Their not all as rich as you might think. Sometimes a big film might not pay much but it could lead to a commercial that pays more than you can imagine. You may be surprised what roles earn you bigger money....In this industry you've 'made it' if your getting a paycheck.
@Sumhavo19 ай бұрын
What sort of professional training and are there any resources to find this training?
@sdfilmproductions41939 ай бұрын
@@Sumhavo1 A few years with any professional drama group will provide efficient training that Casting directors and agents will accept and this will also provide a couple theatre roles to start an acting resume. He has said however that you have to constantly be phoning and arranging meetings with industry professionals. He started decades ago when there was no internet. He said it's so much easier nowadays but he did emphasise real industry professionals will not advertise or reach out on social media. You have to reach out to them the old fashioned way. Phone, arrange a meeting, and then meet with them in person.

Im 14, I have wanted to be an actor since I was about 6-7 years old, and I started acting classes when I was 6. One day however, I had an unfortunate moment on stage ( I was really embarrassed) and as a little 6 year old, I quit. I was almost ashamed of acting its self, and I tried to forget about it, but obviously I could not. So I started again when I was 13, and now I am getting very serious about it. I am in the best school for acting in my area, and I recently got a role in a play. ( It was just a school play but a lot of people auditioned so I was so grateful that I got it) Anyway, I guess the main road block is that I feel like I am not good enough, and I feel like I am in a constant competition, I absoloutly LOVE acting, its my favourite thing in the world, and I think because I love it so much, I am constantly shadowed by the fear of missing out. I also see so many young actors ( Percy Jackson for example) who got roles young, and I just wish that was me, and that I was that good. I obviously know that I can overcome it, It is just difficult. If anyone has any tips what so ever please let me know!!

This is such a great video!! The one thing stopping me is I have a pretty good 9-5 that I know will give me stability but it’s not giving me the satisfaction/happiness I know I’d have if I was an actor.
@Hannahschannel Жыл бұрын
I ALWAYS tell people, you don’t need to quit your 9-5 to do acting, not at all! You can absolutely do both. It’s better to have a 9-5 so you can help pay for thinks like classes, headshots and coaching

I'm 15. I never knew what I wanted to be in the future, what to strive for. But lately I've been watching a lot of movies and series and I just started dreaming about the life and career of an actress. But I don't know if I really can, because I live in Lithuania, but I don't want to be an actress in Lithuania, I I want to pursue a career in America, because it's a better choice for me. And it worries me, because I don't know if I'll study in Lithuania or in America, I'm afraid that I might get a bit of an accent. And it would be a really risky decision. But maybe in the rest of the year I'll commit to .Thank you for the video! It was really helpful!❤

I’ve always felt like I’m meant for something bigger, as cliche as that sounds. I come from a small town in Ohio where people would look at you like an alien if you told them you were just going to leave this little village and fly across the country to pursue acting in L.A. My problem is leaving my family. I would feel sad over it for them and for me. I wish there were a way to be a big actress in a small town.

You totally can be an actress in a small town!

I really want to be and become an actor but no one really knows in my family lol. Something thats really holding me back is the fact im 12 years old. Personally I feel that becoming a child actor really consists of being in the right place at the right time. Major child and teen actors didnt take much initiative. I also feel that being an actor at any age consists of being charismatic. I fit that role and really want to see what I can become. Binge watching all your videos right now! It would be great if you saw this and had any tips for me that would help to let me know. Thanks!

Hi! I just finished up college football and my dream was to make it to the NFL. Sadly, I didn’t make it and this was very heartbreaking and depressing for me, and still is.. luckily, while I WAS in college, I found a passion for film and acting and got my degree in it. I’d say the only thing stopping me from pushing towards this dream to be in film was always football. Now I feel like I need to get over the depressing hump of not making the NFL, and pursue acting and cinematography. I’m going to take your steps and I hope they work for me! Thank you and I hope we can stay connected !

LOVE that! Keep chasing your dreams! Sorry to hear about the NFL, but maybe you were meant to pursue acting instead!

I really want to be an actor but we don’t have a lot of money, and I have no idea where to find agencies near me. I’m also very scared of auditioning and I’m not good at all at acting. Like every time I try, I feel embarrassed with myself. I don’t know how to fix it 😭

I’m only 13 years old i really want to be an actress but I feel like it’s very unlikely that I’ll become an actress because I have stage fright, I’m super introverted, and I have never acted before or even been on stage. There’s a drama club at my school and I feel like I might join next year, does someone have any tips I could use while acting in a play?

This is interesting because me and my 5 roommates moved from Boise, ID and moved to LA, CA last year in January. We wanted to work in the entertainment industry (film/TV industry). We understand that CA is really expensive to live. But living in ID was the worst state ever. “Don’t CA My ID” is the worst phase we have ever heard.

I have a question that I’m hoping no one will judge me for.. is 12 years old, TOO young to start acting? I want to be taken seriously and not like it’s just some dumb phase or fantasy in my head, I want to get an agent, I want to be on TV, in movies, I want to be known and grow up as an actress, my mom believes in me but I have a feeling she thinks I should start acting once I’m older.

I am 14 yo and I live in Cairo, Egypt. My dream is to become a Hollywood actor. I've been loving acting since forever ago and I want to act especially in Hollywood! Only problems are most casting directors pick people from around their area and of course there aren't any "Hollywood" castings in Egypt for obvious reasons. Another problem is getting an agent. Idk if I can get an agent from around my country or should I get one from another one I don't even know.

You play your character. Be your character. Don't worry about you, your life, or any fears you may have. When you're given a character to play, you need to become them. Once you do that, you don't worry about your fear. People aren't going to look at YOU, they're looking to see the character. Does that make sense?

I’ve always wanted to be an actress! I still do. I will be! At the moment, I’m stuck because I’m not sure how to get myself exposed to the industry to have my opportunity. I recently graduated with my Film degree with minors in Theatre and Digital Media but I still feel unprepared. I’ve taken a couple of acting classes. I am looking for an agent but I just don’t want to be scammed. I’m taking my dream and goals seriously so I’ve been looking at some “to do” videos to move steps closer to my goal. I’m also trying to network more with other actors, filmmakers, etc. So I’m definitely open to meeting new people that have the same passion I do. I’ll definitely save this video to make sure I continue striving. Thank You A lot!😊
