Not "I am sad" but "I am noticing that I am feeling sad". The power of the language we use for our experiences. Beautiful!

Yes I just learned this language! I love it. I am not what emotion I'm feeling and when I say I am sad I take it inside of me, making it mine but when I say I am noticing I feel sad it's a completely different feeling

This is amazing. It is so powerful for me to understand over and over again how our thoughts and feelings change instantly if we just look at the situation from a tiny bit different perspective. Information that you gave us is life saving in my opinion. Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to learn and grow.

Ahhhh!!! Yes!!! Tweaking our self talk, to not identify as an emotion, but instead acknowledge that it’s an experience we are travelling through. This is how we stand in our power, and witness. Empowering.

Thank you for this💕 I coach children in social emotional literacy. I live in South Africa 🇿🇦 so the topic of emotional literacy is still very unknown. It's not an easy career to be in because I've never had formal training it's a career that I was lead to intuitively, it's my calling so I just keep advocating the importance in developing these skills..... it's been the longest and toughest journey because I've had to do alot of selfwork in dealing with all my own emotions growing up right into adulthood....I want children to understand that all emotions are valid and important and to teach them how to navigate them in postive ways , especially the hard and difficult ones. Since discovering you and the work you do, it's the first time in my life that I haven't felt alone. Your work speaks to my soul and I'm incredibly grateful for all your posts, blogs and videos.

Lots of valuable information in this. Found it interesting that she was using vortex as a way to describe being disconnected from the world as I’m a person that has been actively studying the law of attraction with Abraham Hicks’ teachings and they use the term vortex to describe a place of connection internally where all of our manifestations are and that place internally of being connected to yourself and in the receiving mode to what the universe has in store for you. I did enjoy the part about not identifying with an emotion by saying “I am sad” but instead creating space by instead framing it in a different way by saying something like “I recognize that I am feeling sad” or something of that nature instead. Interesting stuff. Good work. Also, our outfits kinda match today. 😊

Can you make a video on how to heal cPTSD and the step by step process? Most of the people who are living in developing countries can't afford therapy...and are suffering from it. That would be great If you make a video on cPTSD self-healing. Thanks 💙

So insightful and helpful. I can't thank you enough for sharing this with us and for allowing us to stay engaged and be more connected to who we authentically are by leaning more into our values, embracing all that is us, and be inspired to take empowering actions toward self-compassion, personal growth, and a heightened sense of awareness of all the parts that we have yet to rediscover within us, through courage and wisdom from the physical/human experience here on Earth. Thank you! Love and appreciation to all! Please continue to stay safe and healthy!

This was very informative and insightful! It reminded me a lot of the work that Dr. Sue Johnson does. Except that she’s helping people identify “core wounds” vs. “core values”. But it is a very similar concept/formula. It’s very fascinating how there’s really a common thread in most psychological teaching, exploration, and manifestation.

Are the Non been seen in childhood , is that some kind of triger? Are ours values which are not seen , are ours trigers?
@glampreda38033 жыл бұрын
But is it bad when you do not want to be around what triggers you? For example, of there is a toxic person who yells and screams and is aggressive and Is not safe to be around because of his unpredictability. I don't think that I'm avoiding that scenario, I'm just practicing good common sense and safety. Does that mean that I am not dealing with the issues head on. I know why the trigger and can deal with it without being around that person? Right. I feel so.
@lisaredmond41163 жыл бұрын
Yes, you don’t need to keep retriggering yourself to understand and heal the trigger. In fact, retriggering yourself can prevent your healing.
@lissam89883 жыл бұрын
There's a difference between filling emotional discomfort and a panic attack triggered. Only an individual can define what their emotional discomfort or panic trigger are. The word triggered is overused and sometimes inappropriate. Not all moments are panic attacks that is being triggered. Sometimes we are feeling emotional discomfort there's a huge difference between the two.
@shanjaliarul60772 жыл бұрын
I don’t get panic attacks but when I’m triggered I go through a very traumatic recap and experience really bad anxiety. I think it’s okay to validate what you don’t presume as ‘panic attack’
