Scientist here- despite training students at all levels I tell students to think where they want it to take them before taking a degree- ultimately if it does not take you forwards it may not be the best route forwards, and taking time to think and be strategic is important- too many people do useless (and expensive) degrees, learn a trade, get experience- think what is best for you

Under the Cloche with Kush and James was a fantastic look into the Sorted team and history of the channel, like a Reddit AMA in a podcast. Wynne Evans, William Hanson and Ian Bursnall were my fave "guests" until now. This interaction with Sonny felt like the closest one could get to an honest and insightful interview with Anthony Bourdain today. Kudos to everyone who set this up, and what an absolutely fantastic line of query you followed where you asked critical questions and let the guest elaborate on the answer as much as they could. I'd say this has been the best episode yet.

As Episode 7 came out this week it means that that episode should be out in a couple of weeks.

What a legend. Last. point is brilliant, I have a small asian market here is Hastings within walking distance. The traditional veg can be a bit iffy, but the mushrooms, chllis, spices, fresh herbs are usually fresher and cheaper than my supermarket and the variety of noodles, sauces and oils are life changing. Trying out asian veg is a thrill, there's always a recipe online! Instant chilli miso soup for a hurried lunch does the trick. Brilliant interview lads can't wait to see the content!

I took my kids a couple of times a year to our chain Asian market, 99 Ranch. We couldn't afford vacations or Disneyland or even amusement parks. So we visited every library and park within 50 miles. But going to the Asian grocery store, with it's aquariums of fresh fish and crabs, and the interesting vegetables was like a family field trip. My kids were in awe. We'd always find something very cheap, a package of Pocky, to buy and they loved it.

That is most likely the best, "What's the one thing people should try and cook at home at least once?", answer that has ever been given. I regularly go to my local Asian market, find an ingredient I don't recognize, and buy it without any checking. Then I go home and research it and find a dish it can be used in that strikes my fancy and then cook that.

It's important to note that people change, and as they evolve in their lives, so would their preferred content. I've been Sonny's subscriber for years, after I was hooked with the beauty videos. Now, the content creators I subscribed to have a cacophony of information to offer. In short, YT viewership matures and evolves. People's likes will change eventually, and content creators just have to go along with that change without sacrificing the quality and the message that your channel stand for.

That was a great conversation especially around basically the apprenticeship model vs. a formal university I agree with them, that in a lot of fields, if you've truly graduated from high school (no social promotion stuff), and are hard working, even for white collar jobs, you don't need a 4 year degree. You learn more on the job as long as you're hard working and curious. Specialists like doctors and hard science PhDs are a different story but we, at least in the US, are misusing undergrad education. We use it as a filtering mechanism. Additionally given the freely available information in the internet age, you can indulge your curiosity about any subject you like on the side. History, philosophy, physics, etc. I have 3 degrees and a great job - but do I use anything from my degrees on a day to day basis? Probably not. I should've been a professor or researcher if I wanted to do that.

They're not quite the UK but they're a lot more Danish than Canada is British.

So I was very reticent to watch this video. I used to love Sonny. And then he went to Egypt. He hated it. He got stuck with corrupt policemen and the government. So my mind agrees with him. But, being a dual citiizen - Egyptian-American, my soul cried out and was hurt. @Sonny, I'm so sorry and embarrassed with everything you experienced in Egypt. I wish your contact wasn't such an incompetent person. Egypt is full of corruption. We all experience it. If you would ever reconsider going back, I would hook you up with no-BS egyptians that will let you experience the best of our country. I'm from Alexandria- some of the BEST seafood in Alexandria. I've lived in Cairo for 10 years, and I can tell you there are amazing places. It actually might a great video, where we bring you food in your hotel from the best places in the country. Being an Egyptian-American..... Well Egypt has Sisi, and no doubt we are in for another 4 years of Trump. I apologize to all my American friends, the USA is becoming Egypt.

It is quite literally an autonomous territory of Denmark, the phrasing aside, that is the reality of what it is. Is it directly connected to Denmark no, but its similar to how back in the day, countries or areas in possession of your country are yours, and it is not a bad thing at all. Denmark is a really peaceful country, we treat everyone here and in other countries with the most respect.
