My favourite pirate will always be Black Sam Bellamy. He was a New Englander like myself, was one of the richest pirates in history. Black Sam was known to be a fair captain, laying down such rules as "if there aren't enough hammocks for everyone, then everyone sleeps on the floor". Reportedly he started his career as a pirate because the father of his love, told him he couldn't marry her as a poor merchant sailor. He eventually returned, the captain of a pirate ship but was killed in a violent storm off Cape Cod. The Whydah Galley, his ship was discovered several years ago and is the only verified pirate ship ever found. Also I've totally held a piece of Spanish silver found in the wreck and it's about the coolest thing I've ever done.

I’m so sorry for your loss, I know how it feels to lose a dog. My loving Rio was my first dog and she nearly lasted 15 years. I had to have her put down because her arthritis made it so she couldn’t walk or stand and she was miserable. Back then there was no cure so I had to have the unthinkable happen. I miss her dearly. Similar. My cat had a stroke and started walking into walls. She was 17. Broke my heart calling the vet to come and put her down. I had them come to my home so she wouldn’t be afraid. Crying as I type this and this happened 3 years ago.. She was born in my house. I witnessed her take her first and last breath. I miss her so much. Ppl don’t understand for those who love animals, these pets are family to us. That’s why we keep them until it’s time for them to pass on. Even though we know they don’t live nearly as long as we do, it’s still heartbreaking when it’s their time. May your dogo rest in paradise

That one guy eating all those animals reminded me of why the Giant Tortoise went extinct. Apparently the Giant Tortoise was so delicious, so easy to store live, and held up to a whole gallon of water in a gland they had in their bodies. Their Genome wasn't able to be studied when they were discovered because seamen would just eat them before they got back to any place of higher learning.
